Concepts and Directions: Guess the topic
Practicing New Skills
#1 What do you think is our topic
today?
Our topic today is all about non-
communicable diseases, ma’am.
Probably!

Non-communicable disease
(NCD), also known as chronic
diseases, are not passed from
person to person. They are of long
duration and generally slow
progression. The four main types
of non-communicable diseases are
a medical condition or disease that
can be defined as non-infectious
and non-transmissible among
people.

I have here some example of non-

communicable diseases

Asthma
A chronic disease in which the
bronchial airways in the lungs
become narrowed and swollen,
making it difficult to breathe.
Causes: such as pet dander, dust
mites, cockroaches and mold.
Symptoms: include wheezing,
coughing, tightness in the chest,
shortness of breath, and rapid

something that's normally
harmless like pollen, dust or
animal fur.

characterized by elevated levels of
blood glucose (or blood sugar).

the body's cells grow
uncontrollably and spread to other
parts of the body.

physical inactivity and air
pollution.

prevention.
4. Protect yourself from the sun
can help you to prevent cancer
5. Avoid risky behavior can help
you to prevent cancer.
