Dr. Dhruba Raj Bha arai is a Senior Scien st at Nepal Agricultural Research
Council (NARC). He obtained his B. Sc. Ag. Degree from CCS University, (Seed Technology, AG3108PS), CTEVT
Meerut, India in 1998, M.Sc. Hor culture from TU/Ins tute of Agriculture

and Animal Science (IAAS) in 2003 and PhD in vegetable science in 2010 from
Dr. Y. S. Parmar University of Hor culture & Forestry, Solan, Himachal, India
under SAARC Scholarship. He served at Nepal Agricultural Research Council A Textbook of

(NARC) in different capaci es, as the Chief, Na onal Outreach Research
Centre, then as Director, Crop & Hor culture and finally led the organisa on
as the Execu ve Director. He has more than 25 years of experience in the
field of vegetable seed technology, breeding and postharvest technology. He
has released 2 varie es of cauliflower and turnip and has more than 150
publica ons including 14 books. He has par cipated and presented papers
in several na onal and interna onal symposia, conferences, workshops and

Sanu Krishna Maharjan, from Kisipidee, Chandragiri-5, Kathmandu, currently

Third Year/First Semester
holds the posi on of Assistant Professor at Tribhuvan University, Ins tute
of Agriculture and Animal Science, Lamjung Campus. With a background
encompassing 2 years as an Organic Cer fica on Manager and 1 year as a
Program Coordinator at The Organic Valley Pvt. Ltd., Sanu brings invaluable
exper se to the agriculture industry. Serving as a seasoned consultant
for esteemed organiza ons such as Karuna Shechen, ANSAB, Himalayan
Ecosystems, and Organic Mountain Flavour Pvt. Ltd., he has played a pivotal
role in advancing agricultural prac ces. Addi onally, Sanu has been involved
in a diverse array of agriculture-related projects and possesses extensive
experience in the field of seed technology, having worked as both a seed

inspector and seed analyst. His contribu ons extend beyond prac cal
experience to scholarly achievements, with 8 books authored as a main
author, 10 co-authored works, and a plethora of research ar cles and book
chapters. Sanu's unwavering commitment to sustainable agriculture and

he serves as an advisor to Youth for Agriculture Development and Kisipidee
Agro Farm Pvt. Ltd., further amplifying his impact in the agriculture sector.
