CASE STUDY: PROCTER & GAMBLE

1. P&G boasts a powerhouse of leading brands, but being on top in so many


categories bring its own set of challenges. Give one of the many challenges
associated with being the market leader in so many different categories. Explain.

- One of the many challenges associated with being the market leader in many
categories is the distribution of resources. Large amounts of money and
personnel are required to manage several brands in various sectors. P&G
must properly manage its resources in order to sustain the level of quality,
innovation, and marketing campaigns required to stay ahead in each
category. Being the market leader also entails having to deal with intense
competition from rivals. P&G must continuously improve and adapt to
consumer preferences if it hopes to keep its position in every market.

2. Social media's rise and TV's decline challenge P&G. How can they adapt to
maintain strong brands?

- With social media growing in popularity and TV declining challenges, P&G can
use digital marketing techniques to interact with customers directly on social
media platforms like facebook, instagram, x, etc., in order to stay relevant
and sustain strong brands. To meaningfully engage with customers, they can
make engaging content, collaborate with social media influencers to advertise
their products/brands to reach out more to the consumers, implement direct
marketing campaigns for specific audiences or target markets. By utilizing e-
commerce platforms like here in the Philippines Shopee, Lazada, or any e-
commerce platform around the world, P&G can provide excellent services
wherever customers make their online purchases. P&G's brand management
strategy also needs to prioritize customer satisfaction and product and
marketing innovation in order to effectively adopt the changing media.
