1 Module Objective
The objective of the module is to develop an engaging and interactive VR training module to train the user on the EOT
cranes, about their information and safety while doing inspection or working on or under the EOT crane

Note: This virtual platform will let the user perform the specific steps required to train them about the EOT crane.

3 Module Flow
A Module workflow is defined as a sequence of tasks that perform through a specific path from initiation to completion
stage.

It covers the entire structure of the training module that is experienced during the play mode. In addition, it consists of a
series of key steps that are necessary to follow to gain knowledge.

3.1 Application Icon


An application/Module icon is an image that represents a unique application. The user has to select the application icon to
play the module. (Note: In this case, application icon image will be used in the launcher)

Once the user clicks on the application icon, the following screen with the company's logo would come.

After welcoming the user, the main menu UI will be shown to let the user select the options mentioned in the image below.

Once the user clicks on the "info" button, the UI screens consisting of application information will be shown, and the user
will be free to interact with the sidebar (arrows) to know more and the back button to return to the Main Menu.

3.6.4 Learn (Guided)


This option will be designed to guide the user on the process to be performed to replace the brake shoe of the four- wheeler.

Once the user selects this option, the user will be asked to choose any of the below-mentioned scenarios.

3.6.4.1 Scenario 1: Workshop Familiarization


This scenario will be designed to let the user familiar with the automotive workshop and respective tools and equipment.

Here, the user will be free to take a walk within the workshop and interact.

Popup + VO: Welcome to the familiarization scenario. Here, you are free to take a walk and know more about the automotive
workshop.

Popup + VO: Please feel free to interact with the UI screens and move on the highlighted destination to know more.

To know more section:

Why: This section will be created to let the user know about the key tools, parts and equipment.

What: A scene will be created, where the user will be free to select the given “details” button. Once the user selects the
“details” button, the tool tips of the relative button will be appeared with the additional information in a loop and the other
buttons will be disappeared.

A back button will be given to get the “details” button appeared.

5. Front Headlights: Headlights are a very


crucial part of the car when you have to drive in
nighttime. They light up the road ahead so that
the driver can see what is in front of the car.

6. Tail Lights: Tail lights provide greater safety


in road traffic, particularly in dark. They warn
adjacent vehicle operators and pedestrians of
vehicle’s rear motion and to provide light when
vehicle is reversing.

7. Antenna: Antennas provides uninterrupted


transmission of wireless signals and radio waves
in the car.

1. Swivel Handle: Swivel Handle is a driving


tool for manually operated nuts and bolts.

2. Sockets: Sockets are tools used to tighten


mechanical fasteners. They fit over the head of
the fastener to provide torque. They have a
hexagonal hole at one end that's designed to fit
over a hex head bolt. On the other end of the
socket is a square hole that fits over
the square drive of a socket wrench.

3. Socket Wrench: A Socket Wrench is a type


of spanner used to tighten/ lose any type of bolt
and nuts. It lets you turn a nut or bolt without
repositioning the tool on the fastener.

4. Vernier Caliper: Vernier Caliper is an


equipment used to take an accurate
measurement between two markings.

and uneven built up from metal surfaces.

1. Wheel Cylinder: Wheel Cylinder is used to


exert force on the brake shoe to bring them in
contact with the drum.

2. Brake Drum: Brake Drum surrounds a set of


brake shoes that generates friction. These
shoes are pushed outwards against the inner
surface of brake drum to apply brakes.

3. Brake Shoe: Brake Shoe is a part of the


braking system which carries the brake lining
in the drum brakes.

4. Wheel Hub: Wheel Hub is used to keep the


wheels attached to the vehicle and move
freely.

Machine is a piece of equipment used for

vehicle.

where all required spares and parts are
stored.

5. Trolley: A trolley is used to carry various


tools and equipment during repair work.

3.6.4.2 Scenario 2: Brake Shoe Replacement


This scenario will be designed to make the user aware of the steps required to replace the brake show of a four- wheeler.

The moment this scenario will be selected, the user will be landed on the position shown in the image below and will be
aware of the user tips/ how to play the module info.

After finishing the aforementioned step, the core process will get started and the user will be asked to move on the highlighted
platform.

Step 1: Protective Cover Placement

What to do: Here, the user will be asked to place the necessary protective covers before starting the work on the car.

How:

Desktop/WebGL/Mobile: The user will select the Protective covers one by one laid on the trolley and the covers will get
placed on the marked area of the car through animation.

VR: The user will grab the Protective covers one by one kept on the trolley, and then place them on the marked area of the car.

Step 3: Tyre Removal Process

What to do: Here, the user will be asked to remove the tyre using the required tools.

How:

Desktop/WebGL/Mobile: The user will select the tyre on the car and tools from the UI to perform the task and the animation
will be played on click.

VR: The user will select the tools from the UI and then use the controller to perform the task. Note:

All tasks will be performed using the controller.

Sub-Step 3:

The user will be asked to rotate the swivel handle in anti-clock direction to loosen the bolts one by one.

Note: Once the user clicks on the handle, the handle will rotate anti-clockwise through animation and then it will get
switched to the next stud in the pattern shown in the image.

The user will be asked to remove the handle once all bolts are loose.

Animation: The handle will come from Point A to Point B and then travel to Point C, and then it will disappear.

Place the socket on the stud on the highlighted stud.

Rotate the socket in anti-clockwise rotation one by one to remove the studs.

Note: The socket will switch from one stud to another to remove all four studs. Socket will switch through animation from one to
another stud and after clicking on the socket it will start rotating.

Step 4: Brake Drum Removal

What to do: Here, the user will be asked remove the brake drum using the required tools.

How:

Desktop/WebGL/Mobile: The user will select the drum on the car and tools from the UI to perform the task and the animation
will be played on click.

VR: The user will select the tools from the UI and then use the controller to perform the task. Note:

All tasks will be performed using the controller.
