This strategy is one of the most basic as your target for exiting the trade
is the same amount as the risk you are taking.

We can see from the screenshot above, on this trade we had a 58 pip
stop-loss so our target was the same amount, 58 pips x1 factor. Those of
you who are very observant will notice that there is no figure in the take-
profit box (T/P) this is because I do not want to reveal my hand to the
broker at this point, and I will only use the T/P if I have to move away
from my computer for a period of time. (Use the “Alert” facility provided
by your trading platform.)

Having a target set at the same amount as you are risking means you
will have to win more that 50% of your trades to realise a profit (unless
you employ some type of trailing stop-loss order).

My teaching style is a little back-to-front from that considered normal, as


the actual entry is the last part in my sequence of importance.
