ACTIVE TRANSPORT AND LIGHT MOBILITY VEHICLE

Active Transport refers to physical activity undertaken as a means of transport,

such as walking, cycling, or using other forms of light mobility for transportation.

Pedestrians and cyclist have the same right to use the road as a motor vehicle.
Pedestrians and cyclist are vulnerable road users with little to no protection
compared to motor vehicle operators.

Motorists are advised to drive with extra care when they are in the vicinity of
bicycle lanes.

Bicycle lanes are for the sole use of cyclist, Non-motorized Transport (NMT)
users and Light Mobility Vehicle (LMV) or Personal Mobility Devices (PMD)
users.
