JHULAN
Jhulan Yātrā is very special
because we get the chance to
serve the deities directly. We get
a chance to swing them. Those
who are initiated, those who are
brāhmaṇas and those who are
not initiated. Everyone gets a
chance. Strī, vaiśyas tathā śūdras,
Yatra
We heard that in Barṣāṇā, Rādhārāṇī was sitting next to Kṛṣṇa,
and there the gopī’s are swinging them on a swing. So,
Rādhārāṇī She grabbed on to Krishna so that She will not fall
off. So, Kṛṣṇa he was very happy to have Rādhārāṇī to
everyone who comes forward, embrace Him. In Jhulan actually She automatically embraces
they get a chance. him. So, this festival is very dear to Kṛṣṇa.

instruction on Jhulan Yatra to HH
Jayapataka Swami
Regarding Jhulanayatra Ceremony, during these five
days the Deities' clothings should be changed everyday,
and there should be nice Prasadam distribution and
Sankirtana as far as possible. If you are able to do it, a nice
throne may be constructed on which the Deities can be
placed. This throne may be swung gently during Kirtana.

Jhulan Yatra is a
good service opportunity
The deity program must be improved very gorgeously. Flower garlands should be
expanded, and all expenditures for the deities must be expanded without any miserly
contemplation. Our temple should be so gorgeously decorated that we shall excel all Bombay
temples. This is my idea. Try to fulfill it. When they hear that we decorate our deities so gorgeously,
people will throng, and on festival days especially, like Janmastami, Jhulana Yatra, etc.

It will be very popular

I am very glad to note that you are having the Phool bangla. It will be very popular. Tell me how it was
held. That you are expecting 30,000 people for Jhulana Yatra is wonderful. You should distribute
liberally prasadam. Aksayananda Maharaja will supply money. Let each man be given prasadam. That
is our special program.

Lord Nityānada is so merciful,
he’s making it even more
easy. Lord Balarāma, who
appeared today. He came
down as Lord Nityānanda. He
gives out the mercy of Lord Sridhama,
Caitanya, without even
considering who’s qualified
Lord Krishna’s
and who is not qualified. Not dear friend
considering who should get was still in
and who shouldn’t get, just Vrindavana
giving to everyone. When
Lord Nityānanda was touring He was down in a
all over India and He got to cave somewhere in
Vṛndāvana. All the animals of Govardhana and he was
Vrindavana , they feeling separation from Kṛṣṇa.
remembered that this is 5000 to 4500 years were
Balarāma this is the Lord of gone. So Lord Nityānanda
Vṛndāvana and that he came went looking for him and “Śrīdāma! It’s me!
back. They licked His lotus then said, "Hey, Śrīdāma, Nityānanda, I am Balarama”,
feet, they worshipped Him. Śrīdāma! Come out! said Lord Nitai.
Who? Who licked His feet? Śrīdāma!" Somehow
The cows of Vṛndāvana and Śrīdāma's Samadhi broke and “You’re not Balarāma,
the deers! They naturally he came out from the cave Balarāma’s big. Who are
came up to the Lord. and asked, “Who are you?” you?”, Sridhama asked.

 “Alright. Balarāma, you used to be the only
one who could beat me in a race around
Govardhana. If you can beat me, then I will
believe you are Balarāma”.
Let’s go, and he took off running! Running
around, running, running, running. And
Nityanānda is neck on neck, down the turn, all
the way down the straight coming around
and, in the end Nityānanda, He won the race.
Then Śrīdāma, said, "Alright, I believe you. You
must be Balarāma, nobody else could beat me."
Balarāma said, “So come on, do you want also
to be part of this pastime?”
He said, “Alright”
“But you can’t come like this, you’re gigantic, you
won’t fit in. I know what we have to do.” So
Nityānanda put HIs hand on his head and, huh,
Shrunk him down. Now you will be known as
Abhirāma Ṭhākura. You can see Abhirāma
Ṭhākura’s deity in Kṛṣṇanagar. And the deity there
just went in and sat down and turned into a deity.
He entered inside the deity. Whenever you like
you can go and have darśana. Halfway between
Māyāpur and Calcutta on the western side of the
Ganges. Thus Balarāma, He came as Nityānanda
giving mercy freely. So it’s not hard for us to be
absorbed, because the Lord’s giving us prema-
bhakti, giving us devotion, if we just take it. We
follow Their process, follow the process of Gaura-
Nitāi then we’ll be absorbed very easily. When
we’re absorbed always worshipping Kṛṣṇa in
exclusive devotion always meditating on His form
and chanting HIs holy names, then Kṛṣṇa will
protect us. Nityānanda, He’ll give us whatever we
need. To get the mercy of Kṛṣṇa, we need the
mercy of Balarāma. To get the mercy of Gaurāṅga,
we need the mercy of Nitāi. Balarāma’s the
original guru. All the gurus are coming from
Balarāma, representing. Balarāma ki!

THE DECENT
of Krishna
This whole planet is blessed by the decent of Krishna from
His spiritual abode Goloka Vrindavan and India is
particularly blessed as Lord Krishna enacted His pastimes in
India. I hope you can spend the day in remembering and
glorifying and hearing about Krishna's transcendental
names, qualities and pastimes.
By the mercy of His Divine Grace

Prabhupada, we have the opportunity
to get the mercy of Lord Krishna
through the Bhakti-yoga process. This
is normally, extremely rare but the
mercy of Lord Sri Krishna Caitanya
and Lord Nityananda it is now sperad
all over the world.

 This day is a special day to awaken our
ecstatic love for Lord Krishna. Newer devotees
are yet to awaken the ecstatic love, for them
we offer prayers and blessings - "krishne matir
astu". For those who have already advanced
in their devotional service, so that they may
continue always, we offer the prayers and
blessings "krishne matir huhu" - as given by
and authorized by Sri Krishna
Caitanya Mahaprabhu.

INSTRUCTIONS
& Revelations
Krishna will give
protection - But
what protection ?
The point is that Kṛṣṇa can protect us.
But the real protection that comes is the
spiritual protection. Book distributor
might be distributing books something
may happen. Kṛṣṇa takes these
distributors back. There was a case in
Italy, someone got hit by a car, carrying
a whole stack of Bhāgavatams. Śrīla
Prabhupāda said he went Back to
Godhead. I´ve lost disciples while they
were in the field of preaching. Killed in
act of devotional service. We need
preachers to make devotees. Kṛṣṇa
takes them away. We know that Kṛṣṇa
protects His devotees, so if they leave
their bodies engaged in devotional
service, they are ok. And there are so
many evidences of that in the śāstra.
Sometimes I know that sometimes
people are in an emotional state and
they think "Well, how did this happen?
Krishna will give
protection - But
what protection ?
So we only see one side of the picture here. We don’t
see the other side. We don’t see what happens when
people leave. How they are taken back to the spiritual
world. But generally people on this plane we’re not
able to see these transcendental occurrences. Śāstras
and Kṛṣṇa in this verse is also confirming that Krishna
protects His devotees who are absorbed in Him. What
they should do is commit to be completely absorbed.
No hesitating. What is one life 60 years 70 years, How
many years you have left?There’s not that many years.
So if we can just stay in devotional service, absorbed
in Kṛṣṇa Consciousness. Short life..It’s not that we have
to be..It’s not that everyone has to be a sannyāsī If you
can just live a normal regulated life, Being absorbed in
serving Kṛṣṇa, chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa, .. (inaudible 25:12)
spreading the glories of Kṛṣṇa. One will go back to
Kṛṣṇa. Lord Śiva explained in the Bhāgavatam.

 Lord Shiva on Goloka Vrindavana
Lord Śiva explained in the Bhāgavatam. That if someone does their svadharma, according to the
varṇāśrama for 100 births perfectly, they can achieve the planet of Lord Brahmā. But if someone is
even more pious than that they can achieve my abode. It’s kind of a long range, 100 births. Every
birth must be following everything perfectly, then they get Svargaloka. More than that they’ll achieve
Śivaloka. Lord Śiva said that the devotees of Kṛṣṇa by being absorbed in Kṛṣṇa Consciousness in one
lifetime. They're going beyond my abode, back to Goloka Vṛndāvana, back to the spiritual world.
Therefore, the devotees of Kṛṣṇa are very dear to me and I am very dear to them. Normally it is very
difficult, normally people don’t know this. Still it’s difficult to be absorbed in Kṛṣṇa because one needs
to have a taste. And Lord Caitanya is so merciful he is giving this taste freely.

PAVITROPANA
EKADASI Glories
Today is the sacred
Pavitropana Ekadasi, also
known as Putrada
Ekadasi.
Among the 26 Ekadasis, there are
two that give blessings to receive a
child. Pausha-Shukla Ekadasi or
Putrada Ekadasi, is the Ekadasi that
occurs in the light fortnight of the
month of Pausha (December-January),
and Shravana-Sukla Ekadasi, or
Pavitropana Ekadasi, also known as
Putrada Ekadasi, is the Ekadasi that
occurs during the light fortnight of the
month of Shravana (July-August).

Those grhasthas who want children observe

Putrada Ekadasi and pray to Lord Krsna for a
healthy, long lived, Krsna conscious suputra.
Just by hearing glories of this Ekadasi, we get tremendous spiritual credit.
