(b)Express the following numbers

2. (a) List down all factors of

(i) 18
(ii) 12
(b) Hence find the greatest common factor (GCF) and lowest common multiple (LCM) of 18 and 12.

3. (a) Calculate the sum of the number divisible by two between 20 and 40.

(b) Express 2. 4̇5 as a fraction in the form 𝑎⁄𝑏 where a and b are integers and b≠ 0

4. (a) Write down the place value of digit 2 in the following numbers.

i. 34256
 ii. 34.256

(b) Use a number line to find the solution of each of the following

i. −3 + −2
ii. (−3) − (−2)

5.(a) In a class 0.35 of all students in a mixed class are boys, what percentage of the students are girls?

(b) Alfred used 1⁄2 of his money to buy sugar, 1⁄3 of it to buy soap and he remained with sh.

(Give your answer in meters and centimeter).

7. (a) Juma wanted to send a bill for 34,058 but left out the 0. What is the difference between
34,058 and 3,458? (Write your answer in words)

(b) If 8,000 biscuits are split up into packets each containing 150 biscuits. How many packets
can be filled and how many will be left over?
8. (a) At Mangi shop my credit is −600 Shs. I will pay the shopkeeper 1000Shs. What is my credit
now?
(a) The sum of two numbers is 20. One of the numbers is−5. What is the other number?

9. Upendo is 12 years old. Her mother is 3 3⁄4 times as old as she is. How old is her mother?

10. Form one terminal examination takes ten days. How many minutes this examination have?
