GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
1.1
1.1.1
Based on appearance, mats are classified in Types indicating different fabric processing; mat
classification is called out on the respective "Specification Data Sheet".
1.2
The drawing of each component shall indicate the product type and number of this Specification
and, in case, the pile and the base support.

PRODUCT QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
2.1
Subject the components to the inspections and tests indicated in the following §§. Check the re-
sults obtained against the requirements indicated by design and/or on the attached "Specifica-
tion Data Sheet" applicable to the specific type.
2.2
Temperature : 23 5 °C
Atmospheric pressure : 860 to 1060 mbar
Relative humidity : 45 to 70 %
2.3
Visual inspection
2.3.1
The mats shall be free from processing, forming and dyeing defects, as well as strains, holes and
tears, which might adversely affect their serviceability and appearance.
2.4
Olfactory evaluation
2.4.1
The fabric shall not give unpleasant odors off.

2.6.2
In absence of any specific requirement in this P.S. what stated by the Supplier on the
"Specification Data Sheet" about the material agreed between the Supplier and the competent
FIAT Depts (e) applies. The "Material Specification Data sheet" shall be attached to the sample
submitted for product qualification.
2.6.3
Preformed material of base support must be made by a layer of Polyethylene or Polyethylene and
other olefines compounds also obtained from recycled material.
2.7
2.7.1
Each component shall be clearly and indelibly marked in the area indicated on the drawing with
the Supplier's identification data, data of manufacture (as per process Std. 0.00013) and any
other information as required.
2.8
Service and environmental tests
2.8.1
Carry out tests according to Standards:
NOTE: Checks may be performed on components which have been subjected to non-destructive tests
(indicated with NM in § 5) during product qualification and supply inspection. Components
which have been subjected to destructive tests (M) may not be used for further tests or
inspections unless otherwise specified case by case.
