The information regarding how much goods (in million tonnes ) was transported by four

ways: road, water, rail and pipeline in the UK from 1974 to 2003 is depicted through the
assigned line graph.

always were the most preferable mode of transportation, however opposite true for the
pipeline in the United Kingdom.
Firstly, looking towards roads and pipeline ways for goods movement, almost 70 million
tonnes of goods were shifted in 1974 via roads and this figure hovered between 68 to
80 million tonnes till 1995 as well aa it showed a considerable incline to approximately
90 million tonnes in 2002.Meanwhile,by a water way,the quantity of products was just 8
million tonnes and having grew to roughly 25 million tonnes in next eight years.the
figures plateaued from 1982 to 1990 on 25 million tonnes and fell slightly to 20 million
tonnes in 1994 and then again leveled off.
In terms of water and rail modes, the numbers for both were 40 million tonnes in
1974,while the goods moved via railway remained eventually unchanged in the end of
the given time, after slight decrease, on the other hand ,the transportation by water
way escalated significantly with almost 25 million tonnes ,accounting to be 65 million
