HISTORY OF KCM

Kawasaki Rolling Stock Mfg. Co. entry into construction machinery field was launched with the
1960
opening of the Hyogo Works plant to manufacture tired rollers.
1962 Banshu Works commenced into operation. Manufacturing of Wheel Loaders began.
Kawasaki Rolling Stock Mfg Corp, Kawasaki Dockyard Mfg Corp, and Kawasaki Aircraft Company
1969
merged under the name Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd.
1980 Introduced the “ZⅡ” series wheel loader.
KLI (Kawasaki Loaders, Inc.), a subsidiary sales distribution company, was established in Georgia,
1981
USA..
1983 Built the Banshu Works Training Center.
KLM (Kawasaki Loaders Manufacturing Corp., U.S.A.), a subsidiary manufacturing company, was
1987
established in Georgia, USA.
1988 Introduced the “ZⅢ” series wheel loader.
1993 Introduced the “ZⅣ” series wheel loader in Japan as the “AUTHENT” series.
1994 Introduced the “ZⅣ” series wheel loader to overseas markets.
1995 Established the Order Entry System (OES).
1996 Acquired the International Standard on Quality Management System Certification, “ISO 9001”.
1997 KLI and KLM merged as KCM (Kawasaki Construction Machinery Corp. of America).
Introduced the “135 ZⅣ” wheel loader with a 9.2 m3 bucket capacity. Acquired the International
2000
Standard on Environmental Management System Certification, “ISO 14001”.
2002 Introduced the “ZⅤ” series wheel loader.
2003 Developed the “KUT300” dump truck for tunnel excavation. Built Assembly Shop.
2007 Introduced the Tier III compliant “ZⅤ-2” series wheel loader.
2009 Established KCM Corporation separating from Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd.

The air conditioner/heater is controlled


automatically and thermostatically to enhance

Air vents promote good air circulation inside, and

Down-shift switch is on the boom lever.


It’s function is to shift down & up transmission gear
between 2nd and 1st by pushing.

The automatic reversible


cooling fan allows the fan to

Pre air cleaner

Pre Cleaner (SY-KLONE or Donaldson) is placed at upstream


of engine air-cleaner. It removes dirt or coarse dust by
centrifugal effect and discharges clean air to the air cleaner.
It should be automatically ejected continuously. Removed
dirt and dust are ejected automatically.

Two piece teeth

Two types of two-piece teeth are available.


zOne is weld-on type. The weld-on type is applied to heavy
duty operation such as rock digging at mine or quarry.
zThe other is bolt-on type. The bolt-on type is suitable for
middle duty works. A point of teeth is fitted with teeth adapter
special pin and can be replaced when abraded.
