Lesson Plan 1 Level 350

Objective: First day of class: welcome, ice breaker, course information, & introduction.

Warm-up: Greeting ss (10 min.)

As ss join the class, greet them and ask if this is their first class at CA. If it isn’t,
encourage them to share what they did over the break.

Zoom Use Explanation: (15 – 20 min.)

Go over the Zoom use of buttons presentation.

Video Presentation: (10 – 15 min.)

Play the videos regarding professionalism and attendance for ss. Clarify any doubts.

Welcome Presentation & Icebreaker: (30 min.)

Go through the presentation and clarify any doubts. For the final activity in the
presentation, set ss in pairs, and have them join breakout rooms. After that, organize
them into breakout rooms and have them introduce their previous partner to the rest of
the group.

Introduction to Unit 6: pages 70 & 71 (listening)

Ss will look at the pictures and describe them in order to recreate a story. Then they will
listen to the track and complete the list altogether. Then they will go to breakout rooms
and listen again in order to complete the story. Check answers and ask ss to discuss
the question at the bottom of page 71.

Wrap-up Verb Review: Verb Chart

Have ss go to breakout rooms and complete the chart altogether.

Ask a few ss if they have ever tried to adapt to a change or work on a new habit. Share
the whiteboard and write down a few ideas. Then have them watch the next TED talk:
