the population lacking access to essential health services. However, it has
demonstrated remarkable adaptability, utilizing technology to open new
doors to healthcare accessibility and effectiveness. Telemedicine usage
has surged, reaching over 75 million people, and health information systems
have improved patient care by 90% for healthcare facilities they were
adopted by.
To sustain this momentum and fully harness the potential of digital health,
African governments must enact policies conducive to health tech
innovation. Currently, only 30% of African countries have comprehensive
eHealth strategies in place.
