LEAVE POLICY

LEAVES

• Leave Year
1st January to 31st December.

• Type of leaves that the company offers:


• Earned Leave
• Casual Leave
• Sick Leave
• Maternity Leave
• Paternity Leave
• Short Leave
• OD(Official Duty)
• Leave without Pay.

* Trainees are not eligible for ELs.

EARNED LEAVE(EL):-

• All employees are entitled to a maximum of 12 ELs in a year. All employees are eligible for 1 EL for each completed
month of employment but can avail only after completion of probation period.
• An employee has to take minimum 3 EL at a time.
• Employees should avail their Earned Leave 10 days prior going on leave.
• An employee can prefix and suffix a EL with a public holiday and a weekly off. However, in both cases, Intervening
weekly off and intervening public holiday will be counted as a EL.

Casual Leave(CL):-

This leave serves the purpose of urgent family and personal issues arising at home.
• All employees are entitled to a maximum of 12 CLs in a year. These are credited in advance at the beginning of the
year. In case an employee joins us during the course of the year, the CLs will be credited on a pro-rata basis.
• A maximum of 3 CLs can be taken at a stretch. Half days are allowed for CLs.
• An employee can prefix and suffix a CL with a public holiday and a weekly off. However, in both cases, Intervening
weekly off and intervening public holiday will be counted as a CL.

SICK LEAVE(SL)

• All employees are entitled to a maximum of 12 SLs in a year.


• A medical certificate is required to submit in case an employee takes more than 5 sick leaves at a single time which
should be uploaded while applying leave on greytip.
• Any weekend off, restricted holiday and public holidays, whether intervening, prefixed or suffixed, shall be counted as
Sick Leave.

Short Leave
• 2 hours leave is actually called as Short Leave , which can be taken as two hours late coming from office timings or two
hours early going before office timings.
• Can be availed up to 2 times in a month any time during the day. The short leave needs to be informed to HR after
getting it approved from his/her reporting manager.
• Short leave can be clubbed with any other leave.

MATERNITY LEAVE(ML)

• This leave helps the female employee to avail it during pregnancy.


• Eligibility: All married female staff.’not valid for probationers and trainees.,the permanent female employees who have
worked for at least 80 days (80 attendances) in the proceeding 12 month period from expected date of delivery.
• All pregnant female employees are entitled to 26 weeks of maternity leaves in a year.
• These leaves can be clubbed with ELs and SLs.

Paternity Leave(PL)

• This leave helps the male employees to take leaves after the birth of the child.
• Eligibility: This leave can be availed only for permanent employees, probationers and trainees.
• All employees are entitled to a maximum of 1 week in a year.
• These are credited in advance at the beginning of the year.

OFFICIAL DUTY (OD) : {NEW}

• Any employee going on official duty outside shall get permission from his reporting manager mentioning the
dates on which he will be out.
• The employee should give OD (for going out for official job/out of station duty/or on duty to other clients for whole day) &
have to apply in the portal.

ACCUMULATION OF LEAVES:

• ELs can be carried forward. An employee is entitled to carry forward max. 30 days leaves to next year .
• ML,PL can not be carry forward. Any ML,PL not availed during the course of the year will automatically lapse on 31st
December of same year.

Encashment of Leaves:

• A maximum of 30 ELs can be encashed only at the time of separation.


• The encashment of the same will be calculated on the basis of the last drawn fixed gross salary.
Leave Approvals:

• Employee have to apply leaves in advance in the portal & get it approved from reporting manager.
• In case the approval is not sought and a valid support document is not provided (if required), the HR department
reserves the right to consider leave as a LWP, depending on individual case basis.
• In case of any emergency, the employee needs to inform the RM as soon as possible and apply leave on portal within 24
hours after returning the office.
