MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT

Know All Men by These Presents:

This agreement is made, executed and entered into this 16th day of June 2023 at the
City of Butuan, Philippines, by and between:

The Butuan City Schools Division with the office address at Mercado St., Butuan City
herein represented by the Schools Division Superintendent, MINERVA T. ALBIS, PhD ,
herein referred to as the FIRST PARTY; and

The Kinamlutan National High School. with the school address at Brgy Kinamlutan
,Butuan City St, Butuan City Caraga Region, Philippines herein represented by its Principal II
MRS ALMA BEQUILLA hereinafter referred to as the SECOND PARTY;

Whereas, the 1987 Constitution, Article XIV, Se4. 1 mandates that the state shall
protect and promote the right of all citizens to quality education at all levels and shall take
appropriate steps to make education accessible to all.

Whereas, the 1987 Constitution, Article XIV, Sec. 2 paragraph 4 clearly mandates
the State to encourage non-formal, informal and indigenous learning systems as well as
independent and out-of-school study programs particularly those that respond to community
needs,

Whereas, the RA 11510 section 5, stated to promote learning opportunities anchored

on the Alternative Learning System(ALS) K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum (BEC) that
takes a holistic, integrated and inter-sectoral approach, provide pathways across modes of
learning that ensure learners will become caring, self-reliant, independent, productive, and
patriotic citizens, by allowing such learners to pursue further education after participating
in the ALS programs and passing the Accreditation and Equivalency (A and E) assessments
or certification, or both, as required by DepEd, or seek improvement.

Wherefore, and in consideration of the foregoing premises and mutual covenants, and
agreements hereinafter set forth, and in consonance with the agreement cited above,
MINERVA T. ALBIS, PhD, Schools Division Superintendent and ALMA BEQUILLA,
Principal II, hereby agree to conduct ALS –SHS Classes to A and E JHS passers in the
school

A. First Party Shall:

 Assign ALS SHS Teacher to the schools implementing ALS SHS

 Provide modules and other needed materials for ALS SHS Students
 Conduct regular monitoring of the classes.

B. Second Party Shall:

 Provide venue and other facilities for the learners

  Conduct mapping for ALS SHS with the ALS Teachers
 Monitors the attendance of the learners

C. Effectivity

This Agreement shall be enforced upon signature of both parties and may be
amended upon mutual agreement of both parties and or may terminate upon the
satisfactory fulfillment of all terms and conditions embodied herein.

In Witness Hereof, the parties through their representatives have signed this
AGREEMENT on the date and place appearing on the acknowledgement thereof:
