the corners and the sides are then turned up so as to form an open rectangular box. Find the value
of x so that the volume of the box is the greatest.

30. A wire of length 1 is cut into two parts which are bent respectively in the form of a square and a
circle. What are the lengths of pieces of the wire respectively so that the sum of the areas is the
least?

31. Find two positive integers x and y such that x + y = 60 and xy 3 is maximum
