2. Building Permit
A building permit is a legal document issued by your city or municipality’s Office of the
Building Official that allows the construction of a building.
If you’re found to have built your house without an official permit, the building officials will
forcefully halt the work until issuance or release of your permit. You will also get a notice
informing you to get a building permit.
Electrical Permits must be present before we can work on any electrical system. This
includes work on buildings, trailers, mobile homes, and other areas. For watercraft, the
permit must be obtained from the Office of the Building Official (OBO), and from the
authority for maritime concerns. Republic Act 7920 or the National Electrical Engineering
Law states that in order to get an electrical permit, you need to hire a licensed electrical
practitioner.
4. Sanitary Permit
The cleanliness of the workplace or company space must always come first as a business
owner or entrepreneur. It makes a positive impact on both customers and employees. To
clients, a clean workplace environment appears welcoming.
6. Occupancy Permit
The Office of the Building Official must issue and approve an Occupancy Permit, also known as a
Certificate of Occupancy before using the structure, according to the Philippine National Building
Code. The goal of acquiring the mentioned permission is to ensure that the house or building is in
habitable condition, based on the code’s regulations and the submitted designs and specifications.
ASSEMBLING THE
PROJECT TEAM
Assembling a project team is just as much about
selecting team members as it is about fleshing
out the project’s organizational structure.
Regardless of the organizational structure you
choose, this entails setting up rules and
procedures, defining expectations and
establishing communication. If these things
aren’t clearly defined before the project begins,
they’ll inevitably lead to trouble down the road.
Note: The size and composition of the project team will vary
depending on the extent of the capital design, the
construction budget, and the various facets of the project.

SITE CLEARING
Site clearing in construction sites in the
Philippines involves the process of
preparing the construction site by
removing obstacles, vegetation, and
other obstructions to make way for
construction activities.
EXCAVATION
Excavation is a process in construction
that involves the removal of earth,
rock, or other materials from a site to
create a space for building
foundations, utilities, tunnels, or other
structures.
FOUNDATION LAYING
Foundation laying is a crucial step in
construction, as it provides the
structural support for buildings and
ensures stability and durability over
time.

STRUCTURAL FRAMING
Structural framing in construction refers
to the assembly of the skeletal framework
of a building, which supports the
structure's weight and distributes loads to
the foundation. It involves the construction
of the primary load-bearing elements such
as columns, beams, and floor systems.
INSTALLATION OF UTILITIES
The installation of utilities in construction
involves the process of placing essential
infrastructure systems that provide
services such as electricity, water supply,
wastewater management, gas,
telecommunications, and other utilities to
buildings and structures.
FINISHING WORK
Finishing work in construction refers to the
final phase of the construction process,
where the focus shifts from structural
elements to aesthetic and functional
details. This phase involves the installation
of interior and exterior finishes, as well as
the completion of various systems and
components to prepare the building for
occupancy.

PROJECT involves overseeing the
Workmanship Checks
Monitoring and evaluating the workmanship of construction
activities, such as concrete pouring, welding, and masonry
work, to ensure they adhere to industry best practices and
quality standards.
Dimensional Checks
Verifying the accuracy and precision of structural
elements, components, and building systems to ensure
they meet dimensional requirements specified in the
construction drawings and design documents.
Subcontractor Oversight
Monitoring and managing the performance of subcontractors
and suppliers to ensure they deliver work and materials of the
required quality and meet contractual obligations.
Compliance Verification
Ensuring that construction activities, materials, and installations
comply with relevant building codes, regulations, permits, and
project specifications to meet legal and safety requirements.
Safety management also involves providing training, resources, and support to ensure that
all project activities are conducted in compliance with relevant safety regulations and
standards.
These aspects are integrated into the overall project management framework to ensure
that quality standards are met, risks are managed effectively, and the safety of all project
stakeholders is prioritized. Collaboration among project team members, stakeholders, and
safety professionals is essential to address quality and safety concerns throughout the
project lifecycle.
Safety Training Programs
Implementing comprehensive safety training programs for all construction personnel, including
workers, supervisors, and managers. Training topics may include hazard recognition, personal
protective equipment (PPE) usage, emergency procedures, and equipment operation safety.
Safety Training Inspections
Conducting regular inspections of construction sites to identify potential hazards, unsafe
conditions, and safety violations. Inspections may cover areas such as scaffolding, fall
protection, electrical hazards, heavy machinery operation, and fire prevention.
Safety Signage and Communication
Posting clear and visible safety signage throughout the construction site to communicate
hazards, safety procedures, emergency contacts, and other relevant information to workers and
visitors.
Emergency Preparedness Plans
Developing and implementing emergency preparedness plans, including procedures for responding
to accidents, injuries, fires, hazardous material spills, and other emergencies. Conducting drills and
exercises to ensure that workers are prepared to respond effectively in emergency situations.
safety Equipment Provision
Providing appropriate safety equipment and gear to workers, such as hard hats, safety glasses,
gloves, harnesses, and respiratory protection, to mitigate risks and prevent injuries.
BUIDLING INFORMATION
MODELING (BIM)
-is a computerized model of a building's physical and functional qualities. It
makes it possible for engineers, contractors, and architects to work together
more efficiently by generating a common 3D model that includes details about
the geometry, materials, and other attributes of the project. By enabling
improved project coordination, identifying conflicts, and visualization, BIM
contributes to resource optimization.
ADVANCED MATERIAL
AND TECHNIQUES
-Such as advanced composites, engineered wood products, and 3D printing,
contribute to resource efficiency and sustainability. These materials offer
improved strength-to-weight ratios, faster construction times, and reduced
environmental impact compared to traditional construction methods.
