Review of Vanity Fair

One thing that really touched me in this show is the effort that those actors put in this

show. There is one male actor, who acts as Manager/Miss Crawley/Lord Steyne, stays on

the stage from the very begin until the very end. He is the actor I paid most attention to.

He never forgets his lines and or get out of his character. It requires so much effort to

follow the whole path of the show and not making mistakes.

The plot in this show is very interesting and makes me want to stay in the theater and

watch it until it was ended. This is what we called dramatic show. Each main character

has a different ending as what they were used to be. The Vanity Fair changed their life.

It is easy to distinguish the personality of different characters because there are so

many details that can reveal what they are thinking. And that’s why this show is amazing

and sophisticated. Many actors act different characters in this show. But they were doing

a good job. They switch their character modes very quickly. They changed their costumes

and their voices immediately when they changed their characters, which is easy for
audiences to distinguish who they are looking at. What’s more, I found out that all the

actors on the stage are speaking their lines very loud, which is one basic rule for theater

actors.

The technical effects are also pretty good. The setting of stage is so much better than

the Hamlet one. One interesting scene is that three old ladies were acting behind the

window, which is very hilarious and I think in this scene, the blur of the window is one

big factor that makes it interesting. And then, whenever they change scene, they always

did so fast and smooth, so that audiences could catch up very quickly. And also tells

audiences the change of time by change stage setting.

The costumes in Vanity of Fair, in my opinion, is so much more detailed and better

that the Hamlet. Different costumes can reflect different social status for different

characters.

To conclude, Vanity Fair is a great show to watch. I enjoyed watching this show

because the complex relationship between each character is so much fun to watch and

those actors did a really good job on performing.
