I want to become a software engineer

2. Why do you choose that job?


I realize that I enjoy solving problems and building things with technology. I also think this
field will bring lots of opportunities to me to work in many companies.

3. What are the main responsibilities of the job?


The main responsibilities include designing, testing computer programme, as well as
collaborating with team members to develop new features and improve existing ones

4. What quality do people need for the job?


Software engineers need to have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as
proficiency in programming languages and software development tools. They also need to be good
communicators and work well in a team environment

5. As a student, what should you do to get that job?


As a student, it's important to focus on building a strong foundation in computer science and
programming. Joining coding clubs can also help gain experience and make connections in the field.
It's also necessary to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends in software
engineering, such as ChatGPT, IOT, AI,…

Topic 2: Viet Nam and international organizations:


1. What is the name of the programme / the international organization?
UNICEF (stands for the United Nations Children's Fund)

2. What does this programme / organization focus on?


UNICEF focus on improving health and education of children, it also aims to support the most
disadvantaged children all over the world.

3. What are the activities of this programme / what are the programme of this organization? (in Viet
Nam)
UNICEF in Vietnam works on various programmes including child protection, health,
education, water and sanitation, and emergency response. They work closely with the Vietnamese
government and other partners to implement these programmes.

4. What benefits will the programme / organization bring to people? (in Viet Nam)
UNICEF's efforts in Vietnam will help to improve the lives of children by providing access to
basic healthcare, education, and social services. This will help to promote sustainable development
and reduce poverty in the country.

5. What has the programme / organization done to help Viet Nam?


UNICEF has provided support for various projects in Vietnam, including improving access to
education, healthcare, and social welfare programs for disadvantaged children and families. They
have also supported the government's efforts to reduce child malnutrition and improve child survival
rates.

Topic 3: Talk about the advantages and disadvantages of online learning


1. What do you know about online learning?
Online learning is a way of studying where students can learn remotely using the internet
and digital devices.
2. Do you like online learning or not? why / why not?
Personally, I like online learning because of its benefits

3. What are the advantages / disadvantages of online learning?


Some advantages include flexibility, convenience, and access to a wider range of courses and
resources. Online learning can also be more cost-effective, and students can learn at their own pace.

4. What are the evidences / examples of advantages / disadvantages of online learning?


This way of learning can provide access to courses and resources that may not be available
locally. In addition, it can allow students to balance work or family responsibilities while still pursuing
their education. Besides, Online learning can provide opportunities for students to develop digital
skills and collaborate with peers from around the world.

5. Should we apply online learning in our school?


In my opinion, it depends on the situations and the needs of the students. Online learning
can be a great option for students who need flexibility, live in remote areas or in some compulsory
situations. For example, in Covid-19 pandemic, we have to study online to prevent from disease.
Although, it lasts a long time, online learning still allow students to continue their education.
However, we have to make sure that online learning is effective.

Topic 4: Talk about environmental problems and solutions (Littering)


1. What causes environmental pollution?
Littering is caused by people throw trash on the ground, over the windows instead of in the
trash cans.
2. What are the problems of environmental pollution?
The problems of littering are numerous, such as soil and water pollution, harm to wildlife
and their habitats, or damage to the appearance of our communities.

3. What are the solutions for environmental pollution?


I think we can raise people’s awareness through education campaigns and outreach efforts.
Providing convenient and accessible trash and recycling bins can be a effective solution

4. What are the problems of environmental pollution in our school?


The trash cans are often overflowing, and some students don't seem to care about throwing
their trash on the ground and it leads to accidents. In additional, littering can damage the school's
image and reputation.

5. As a student, what should you do to protect the environment?


There are a lot of things we can do, like using reusable water bottles and containers, turning
off lights when we leave a room, and recycling whenever possible. We can also join clubs or
organizations focused on environmental issues and work to raise awareness about these important
topics.
