Chapter 5 - New Features and Enhancements
n Support PROFINET
This feature allows ControlEdge 900 work as PROFINET Controller
and communicate with PROFINET IO Devices at its downlink (Eth3
and Eth4) network.
n Support FTE
It makes ControlEdge 900 work as an FTE node to have uplink
(Eth1 and Eth2) network redundancy. To fit Experion network, it
supports getting IP address from Experion BootP Server per its
own Index ID setting. For non-Experion network, IP address can
be configured manually in ControlEdge Builder. For more details,
see ControlEdge Builder Users Guide.
n Enhanced Firmware Manager
l Upgrade firmware in parallel
l On-process upgrade firmware
l Interactive mode
n OPC UA Security Enhancement
Supports some security enhancement features, such as Security
Policy and User Authentication, for both OPC UA Server and Client.
For more information, see ControlEdge Builder Protocol
Configuration Reference Guide.
