Moisture Control Management (Finished goods warehouse)

1.Finished goods before put into the warehouse for storage:

Check the carton for any damage and make sure its tightly sealed before store it to the warehouse.
Usually, most factory only seal it at the middle. YCM recommends to also seal it on both of the short
sides of the carton.
2.Keep record for temperature and humidity:
•Hygrometer must be present in the Finished Goods Warehouse.
•Periodically keep record for the temperature/humidity in the warehouse. Record at least once every
two hours.
3.Quality inspection for Finished Goods:
Randomly inspect the finished goods. If needed, re apply mold prevention sticker in the inner box.

4.Pay attention to the following during shipment:

Shipping dock needs to be sheltered to avoid water leaking to the finished goods carton which
increase the mold risk.

Others
•No foods or drinks in the FG warehouse
•Dehumidifier bucket should be placed outside the FG warehouse

Containers check and shipment’s unload setting

Finished products usually arrived on clients’ end in containers, so mold prevention for the container is
also very important. During transport, high temperature and moisture can encourage mold growth,
which could lead to cross contamination between products. Check container with the following steps:

Check the container before uploading

•Container flooring should be metal-based
•Check for any damage on the Finished Goods Packaging
•Check for any signs of mold on the Finished Goods Packaging
•Check for any organic matter residues (dust, soil, etc.)
•Conduct “Shower Test“ to make sure the container is airtight.

Before Unloading
1.Unload in an area with shade (sheltered)
2.Make sure the package of products is not damp or damaged (low moisture content)
3.No signs of Mold on the package and products
4.After unloading, check the material/ finished goods for Mold/odor
