ASSIGNMENT
1. A.LEARNER- CENTERED PSYCHOLOGICAL PRINCIPLES
TITLE: EFFECTIVENESS OF PERSONAL INTERACTION IN A LEARNER- CENTERED
PARADIGM DISTANCE EDUCATION CLASS BASED ON STUDENT SATISFACTION
PROBLEM:

- This study determined whether there was a relationship between students' perceptions of
how effective course- related interaction was and their level of course satisfaction.
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

- To examine the course satisfaction and other dependent variable, a multiple linear
regression was develop by the researcher. The most appropriate statistical method to
analyze the data was regression analysis. The model use a continuous and categorical
variables to predict course satisfaction.
FINDINGS

- The research result demonstrated that student- instructor interaction, student- student
interaction and student- content interaction along with the gender and student perceptions
of WebCT features were predictors of course satisfaction. In this study, 94% of the
participants indicated that they were satisfied with the course.
CONCLUSSIONS

- Students satisfaction should be taken into account by instructors because attitudes are
often indicative of success. Reported that online instructors need to shift their teaching
style from teacher- centered to learner-centered paradigms in order to facilitate on line
learning environment and promote student satisfaction.

1. B. HOW ARE THE FINDINGS OF THIS RESEARCH USEFUL TO TEACHERS

- The findings of the research is helpful to teachers because they can actually have guide
on why their students can not or can hardly understand the lesson. Since the study is all
about teaching styles of teacher, it is very beneficial that they start changing their
teaching strategies for student- teacher improvement.
1. C. Write your reflection on LCP
- Having a teaching style that is understood and can meet your students satisfaction is
really a big factor contributing to the success of the students. We must know that
teaching is nit about you as their teacher but rather about them as your students.

2. A. HUMAN DEVELOPMENT
TITLE: MOBILITY AND HUMAN DEVELOPMENT
PROBLEM

- What is the significance of these reflections on how human development affects mobility
for the debate on how mobility affects human development in its own right?
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
- Rather than applying dichotomous classifications such as between forced and voluntary
migration, it is more appropriate to conceive of a continuum running from low to high
constraints under which migration occurs, in which all migrants deal with structural
constraints, although to highly varying degrees.
FINDINGS

- The potentially positive impact on human freedoms is neither automatic nor uniform.
Under unfavourable conditions, migration may actually decrease the capabilities of
people, and even when its aggregate impacts are judged to be positive, the fruits of
migration are not always equally distributed among different members of households and
communities. Depending on the selectivity of migration, it may both increase and
decrease inequality. Notwithstanding the often considerable blessings for individuals,
households and communities, migration is no panacea for solving more structural
development constraints. Migration can neither be blamed for a lack of development, nor
be expected to trigger take-off development in generally unattractive investment
environments.
CONCLUSSIONS

- This paper has analysed the intricate, reciprocal connection between mobility and human
development. The analysis has shown that migration has always been part and parcel of
more general, interrelated social and economic transformation processes and that modern
forms of rural-urban and international migration cannot be dissociated from the
interrelated, more general processes of capitalist accumulation, economic specialisation,
urbanisation, colonial expansion, and, more recently, globalisation. In addition, migration
is not just a result of social transformation but is in itself a form of social transformation,
which has feedback effects on the societies involved. We have also argued that, from a
capabilities perspective, migration can be considered as a fundamental capabilities-
enhancing freedom itself..
B. HOW ARE THE FINDINGS OF THE RESAERCH USEFUL TO TEACHERS?
- The findings of the research is useful to teacher in the sense that they can have background
about his/her students. She may have the knowledge about why is her studenys acting this
way or that way. Maybe because of her family, in her past or present environment.
C.WRITE YOUR REFLECTION ON HUMAN DEVELOPMENT
- Human development is either a choice or brought by increasing social environment. It may
be hereditary or on the environment that we live in. We must always be careful on what we
are adapting on our environment because it may destroy your future. We must know how ti
filter things around us so that we can grow for the better.

3. A. ISSUES IN HUMAN DEVELOPMENT

TITLE: SUCCESS AND FAILURE IN HUMAN DEVELOPMENT
PROBLEM

- The paper reviews experience in advancing Human Development since 1970 by

investigating behaviour among countries that made the largest improvements in HD, and
those that made the least improvement. We aim to explore whether and which particular
characteristics of the economy and of policy are associated with these outcomes. We will
define success and failure for this purpose according to the HD.
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

- Two possible approaches are to take the countries that have had the fastest growth in
HDI; or the countries that have had the largest short-fall reduction. The short fall
reduction method, of course, initially provided the basis for the calculation of the HDI,
and for changes in HDI. However, it gives a major advantage to countries that start with
high levels.
FINDINGS
-We found no systematic patterns of performance. However, the following types of
performance emerge:
1. Good or average achievements on all dimensions except for inequality (Chile);
political rights (Tunisia); and collective violence (Indonesia).
2. Good or average achievements on all dimensions except for income inequality and
homicides (Mexico and Panama).
3. The low HDI poor performers show negatives on most aspects for which there are
data, being consistently negative on communal conflict (and its change over time),
and mostly negative on political rights.
CONCLUSSIONS
-Analyzing success and failure in HD over a 35 year period is evidently a difficult task. Much
depends on the metrics chosen and the move from correlation to proving causation has not
been attempted. But by exploring differences between the successful and weak performers on
a number of characteristics, paying attention to differing initial conditions, we have come up
with some suggestive patterns of success and failure, of relevance to policy makers. At the
end, however, as the country vignettes indicate, we recognize that there are always important
country-specific political and historical dimensions which defy quantification and yet help
determine outcomes.
B. HOW ARE THE FINDINGS OF THE RESEARCH USEFUL TO TEACHERS
- The findings of the research is useful to teachers in manner that it they will have ideas on how
to adjust with their students undergoing human development. People are different from each other
so there is a possibility that one's development might be weak or successful.
C. WRITE YOUR REFLECTION ON ISSUES IN HUMAN DEVELOPMENT
- The issues on human development is also a big factor in determining a success. For example, if
you have patterns of success failure then your mindset is also affected. You will have the thought
of “negative 'what ifs'. So it is important to k now and analyze what are the blocks or hindrances
that affect our development and know when and how to overcomer it.

schools
CONCLUSIONS
The principal findings was that students who
had facilitators trained in the learner- Student learning in distance education
centered approach to provide support for courses is at least equal to that in traditional
students who stayed in an online course classes if not better; however distance
more weeks completed the course at a education course often has substantially
higher rate than a control group who had lower rates of course completion
facilitated without this training

 How are the findings of the research useful to teachers?

It is useful to teacher by means of knowing the preferred type of learning his/her students
would like. We can just say that a teacher is an educator if he or she made a difference on
his or her students.

THE STAGES OF DEVELOPMENT AND DEVELOPMENTAL TASK

REFLECTION
1. 1. Reflect on your early childhood, middle and late childhood days. Were you able to
acquire the developmental tasks expected of early, middle, late childhood and
adolescence. What facilitated your acquisitions of the ability to perform such tasks?
Write your reflections.

- For me, I did. Growing up I realize there's nothing to regret during my childhood
days. I played, i cried and I learned. And right now though I can say that a am still
dependent on my family's decision for me, I know I still have the freedom to do what
I want and that’s what matters the most. My family has always been there to guide
and teach me things I want and should learn so it was easy for me to adjust. During
those times, I personally think it was hard and stressful especially when I was in early
adolescent but when I came to early adulthood I begun understanding my own
purpose and it became just so easy for me.
2. Having mastered the developmental tasks of early childhood, middle and late
childhood and adolescence, reflect on what you should do as a teacher to facilitate your
students’ acquisition of these development tasks. Write down your reflections.
- As a teacher, I must make sure first they understand the purpose and reasons why
they need to grow and develop as a person. Not just physically but most importantly
socially, mentally and spiritually. Knowing and understanding these will help them grow
and develop as a good citizen of the country without them asking 'why it has to happen?’

LESSON III. ISSUES ON HUMAN DEVELOPMENT

Reflection:

Relate what you learned here to your personal development. Reflect on your own
personal. What has helped you become the person that you are now? Are you a product
of the mere interaction of heredity and environment? Or a product of both heredity and
environment interacting and what you have decided or determined yourself to become?
Write your reflections.

- Change is inevitable as they say. And growing up was never easy- just for the start.
Growing up and developing comes in a package and for sometime it just made me
someone better than yesterday. I am a girl whose passionate and full of dreams. I
always strive to do better each and very single day but I never forget to have some
fun. Life is stressful when you think it is, but when you see life as a blessing- endless
happiness, love and comfort will surely guide your way to the top. I strive hard to
achieve my dreams but I always find time to free my self from it like watching kpop
and korean dramas. These simple things relieve from pressure of studying. And go
back again and focus. I never let myself be really attached to something I know
would bring me down in the future. I can say I am a product of both heredity and
environment. I came from a family where restrictions and house rules are set and j
really grow up from those, though there are times I become rebellious towards my
sister. And since we are on the modern world, acquiring other countries culture is
very easy. Since I am a kpop fan, it was so easy for me to follow their trending outfit,
their pop songs and even their language. Right now, I am not really sure what to
become. I want to be successful yes, but successful in chosen profession- I am not yet
sure of that. But I would love to share these experiences to my future students. I
know, time will come that I will finally learn to accept what path God chose to direct
me.

WATCH THE BATTLE BETWEEN NATURE AND NURTURE BY ITENE

GALLEGO ROMERO, TEDxNTU. What conclusion can you derived from the battle
between nature and nurture?
- The battle between nature and nurture talks about how is your environment affect
your development personally. We are different from everybody else and unique
qualities as a person. And once our environment such as our family impose or force
us to do or be someone we don’t want to that’s the time that the battle between nature
and nurture starts. There is contradictions in our physical body as well as in our mind
and mostly it results into personal and social rebelion.
Unit II. Basic concepts and issues on Human Development
Instruction: Put / before a correct statement and an X before a wrong one. If you put X
explain why.

/ 1. Development is a pattern of Change.

/ 2. Development is either growth or decline.
X 3. From both traditional and life span perspectives development is lifelong.
In traditional perspective,
development can be little or no change in adulthood while life- span approach takes place
in childhood as it does in adulthood.
/ 4. In the development process, there are things that holds true to people.
/ 5. Individuals develop uniformity.
/ 6. Development is predictable because it follows an orderly process.
X 7. Development is unidimensional.
- Development is multidimensional because it consists of biological, cognitive and
socioemotional dimensions
/ 8. Development takes place in vacuum
X 9. The effect of biological process on development is isolated from the effect of
cognitive and socioemotional processes.

- Developments from the biological, cognitive and socioemotional affects each

when growth occurs among individual.
/ 10. Development is unique.

 Reflection
You are a bundle of possibilities. You are meant to develop like any other living thing or
else you will rut. Remember, the growth is an evidence of Life,” If you are alive, then
you must be growing and developing. Are you on your way to development?
- As for me, I am already on the process of development. From the lessons ive
learned from my family, I have also learned a lot from my high school days and
right now, I am currently growing to be a total independent woman in her
college years. Although, I am still dependent on them in anyways possible I can
learn I am proud to say that I have grown.
 Like you, each of your future students is also a bundle of possibilities, how should you
look at them in terms of development?

- Growth or development is a choice when it comes to cognitive and

socioemotional dimension but when it comes to biological process it isn’t. If we
really want to grow not just physically, but also mentally and socially we must
not refrain ourselves from declining the lessons of life. If there is something to
receive then you must accept it but remember to decline ideas that can surely
destroy your growth.

Activity: Write T if the statement is true and F if the statement is false

F 1. Quality research adheres to scientific method.

T 2. For research on child and adolescent development to serve its ultimate purpose,
researchers must be governed with ethical principles.

F 3. Which research design and data gathering technique to use has nothing to do with the
nature of the research problem and objectives of the research.
T 4. Teachers are both producers of knowledge when they conduct research and
consumers or end users of knowledge when they utilize research findings to improve
instructions.
T 5. Research had transformative effect on teacher’s self-understanding and on their
classroom practice. It enables teachers to have better understanding of themselves, on
their classroom and on their practice through the act if reflective inquiry.
REFLECTION: It is said that because teachers are overloaded with works, they usually frown on
the conduct of research. Reflect on the consequences of the research. What can be done to prevent
this? Write your reflection on the issue.

- This proves that this person treats teaching only as his job and not his passion.
This will just destroy your reputation as a teacher. Thus, not a sigle stud3nts
would want to learn from you. Being a teacher (of a research as stated) doesn't
end in teaching lessons it also have the package of learning to love that passion
and making sure the students know and feel it too. If you really love teaching
then its impossible to even frown or di unethical gesture to your students.
