Co-Scholastic Activities - (2024-2025)

At D.A.V. Academy, the holistic progress of each child is of paramount importance. Academic
excellence goes hand-in-hand with personal development. In D.A.V. to impart intensive coaching in
Co-Scholastic areas we offer a wide range of activities like
❖ Team Sport “BASKET BALL”
❖ Martial Art “SILAMBAM”
❖ Mind Sport “CHESS”
❖ Performing Arts “BHARATHANATYAM, VIOLIN & MRIDANGAM”
with an aim to groom the talents of the budding youngsters and prepare them for their future
endeavors.
➢ Dance classes will be conducted by
Guru. Smt. Dhakshayani Ramachandran, the director of Dance Academy “NRITHYAARPANA”
having 4 branches in Chennai. She has been teaching dance for 34 years and had been conferred
with many Titles and Awards – Bharatha Nrithya Priya is her first title from her first
Guru Dr. Padma Subramanyam.

➢ Mridangam classes will be engaged by

Mridangam Vidwan Sri Vilangudi V. Sivakumar, a performer and also a popular recording
artist.
➢ Violin classes will be handled by
Violin Vidwan Sri Krishnan Sivakumar, an expert in Carnatic Rock, Fusion &
Namasankeerthanams.

➢ Chess classes will be handled by

Mr. Palaniyappan , Chief of the Chess Coaching Team

➢ Basket Ball classes will be handled by

Mr. Sampath , Chief of the Basket Ball Coaching Team
➢ Silambam classes will be handled by
Mr. Soundar Rajan, Chief of the Silambam Coaching Team
These Co-Scholastic classes will be conducted from the month of April 2024.

For all the Co-Scholastic activities, New session for the academic year 2024-2025 will start from
08.04.2024 (Monday).
Students enlisted for the activities have to attend the class after school hours.

New entries are invited from classes III to VIII. Consent form can be
collected from the reception.
Note: Students who have already enrolled and attending other Co-Scholastic activities are
not eligible to change their activities.

❖ All the Co-Scholastic activities for the Academic year (2024-2025) starts
from 08.04.2024 (Monday).
❖ New entries are invited from classes III to VIII. Consent form can be
collected from the reception.
❖ Students (New / Existing) will be allowed to attend the class only after
the payment of First Term Co-Scholastic fee.
❖ New students and existing students have to attend the classes as per
