Elisa Caldeira is a 30-year-old multi-talented artist, based Rio de Janeiro

BR and passionate about the Street Carnival and the Circus arts.

Actress by vocation and education, Elisa holds a bachelor’s and a technical

degrees in Performing Arts by @casadasartes, and among her main works in
theater are: Menines directed by Cesar Augusto e Marcia Zanelatto; Eu Quase
Morri Afogada Várias Vezes by @coletivaasminas; and Desculpe não responder
antes written and directed by Wallace Lau, projects that set out to question
relationships and gender roles.

Elisa also has great experience as a dancer, including in her repertoire
advanced tap techniques, jazz, classical ballet, and even burlesque striptease,
having already performed on stage at many events and festivals such as
@rockinrio.

Since 2015, she has been dedicating herself intensely to Circus arts having
completed her training at @circocrescereviver in 2019, specializing in stilt walk and
group acrobatics. Still in 2018, she performed at the Circo Crescer e Viver arena
with a stilt solo and a female acro group acts, already expressing her desire to
research this techniques with a group of women even at school!
As a circus artist, Elisa is part of Circo Sideral and Orquestra Circônica -
circus/musical groups that combine brass bands with acrobatic scenes, having
performed at various festivals/events, and Brasilian stages such as LER – Salão
Carioca, FIN - Winter Festival and Viradão Cultural SP. By several years she has
been invited to perform at Picadeiro Móvel Festival, also promoted by @sescrio,
alongside different groups.

In 2019, just before finishing circus school, Elisa embraced the Regional
Performing Arts Exhibition - exange program by SESC, which led to the creation
and touring of the show Sound Circus, directed by Renato Linhares.

In 2020 she was invited to perform on the TV show Caldeirão do Huck, and she
also took part in the launch campaign video Voa by famous Brazilian store

Also in 2017 Elisa discovered another great passion: The Rio de Janeiro
Carnival, and since then she has immersed herself in the street musical reseaching
the bass drums, more specifically, the surdo, the alfaia and the zabumba - brazilian
drums! As a percussionist she composes @blocodosargentopimenta, @ossiderais
and @orquestracirconica with whom he has participated in projects such as

Whether performing on stilts,

Elisa tirelessly works during
the never-ending Carnival.
Since 2022 she also
coordinates two different

as teaches at her own Stilt

since 2018.
2022 – 2023
Elisa's invited to join the Nave dy Pandora
Circus Collective, made up from her
hometown female artists, and together they
release its first show @crescenteespetaculo,
which has already toured more than five
cities, and was awarded in several cultural
notices such as Fomentão, Pulsar – SESC,
SMC both Theater and Circus Notices.

In October of 2023, she created and cast her

first show: UniCabaré, conceived, directed,
and presented by the artist herself at the
invitation of Picadeiro Movél Festival once
again.

2023 - 2024
Elisa delves even deeper into her solo and
duo researches, exploring together with her
partners @gvitterbo and @aip1m the
possibilities of stilt acrobatics!
