TOPIC 1: YOUR FAVORITE MUSICIAN OR BAND

Good afternoon, teacher. My name is Nguyen Thuy Linh. I’m 20 years old.
I’m from Hanoi. I’m a student at FPT Polytechnic. My major is Marketing &
Sales. Now I will write about my favourite musician.
My favorite musician is Taylor Swift. She’s from America. Her
nationality is American. She is 41 years old. She's really good at different
types of music, but she especially loves playing rock and pop. Taylor is
famous for many songs such as ‘Look What You Made Me Do, Love
Story, Cruel Summer’,…I like the song ‘Love Story’ the most because its
lyrics are very meaningful. I often listen to her music in my free time or
when I clean the house. Sometimes I listen to her music on the road and
when I study on my own. When I listen to her music I feel relax after a
tiring day at work. Although I love her music but I cannot go to her
concert because her ticket concert sold out very fast and I can’t buy it.
I really love Taylor because she is beautiful, talented and her music
inspired me a lot. Her songs help me study English too.

Good afternoon teacher. My name is Nguyen Thuy Linh. I’m 20 years old.
I’m from Ha Noi. I’m a student at FPT Polytechnic. My major is Marketing &
Sales. Now I will write about my family.
My family lives in Hanoi. My family has 5 people: my parents, two sisters
and me. The first is my father. My father's name is Nguyen Van Truong. He’s
65 years old. His occupation is farmer. My father is tall with deep black eyes
and silver-gray hair. He likes reading books and watching tv. Next is my
mother. My mother's name is Ta Thi Hoa. She is 62 years old. Her occupation
is a doctor. She is shorter than my father. She has long black hair and kind,
gentle eyes. Her hobbies are cooking and shopping for things we need for our
home. And finally, my two sisters. My two sisters are Nguyen Thi Hao and
Nguyen Thi Hau. My two sisters are 24 and 28 years old. Sister Hao is a doctor
like my mother and has black eyes with a petite stature. She likes listening to
music, especially US-UK music. Sister Hau is a hairstylist. She has a stylish
hairstyle and a fashionable dressing sense. Her hobbies are shopping and
planting. The person I love the most in my family is my mother because she
was always by my side and took care of me when I was a child till now. My
family usually gathers together after dinner in the evening to watch tv and on
holidays, we often go out and spend time together.
