GRAMMAR  :Warm up: Teacher introduces his class asking Ss questions about
VOCABULARY nourishment. What are the basic things that humans need to survive.
PRONUNCIATION
LISTENING  Vocabulary preview : first teacher asks SS what words do they know
SPEAKING about healty diet.T makes a brainstorm on the board..then SS will read
READING COMPREHENSION sentences and circle the best definition for each word in bold. Finally SS and
WRITING teacher will check the answers.

 Listening task 1
Pre: before SS listen , teacher asks then some questions about brain food..
What do you think brain food could be? What are some examples of brain
food?
Global listening:during SS are going to listen to brain food and check the
food and drinks a doctor talk about.
Close listening; SS will listen to some excerpts from brain food and match
the food with their benefits..t then SS will listen to brain food again and
circle the best answer to complete the sentences.post; Teacher and Ss will
check the answers.
 listening task 2. pre: Teacher ask SS what are some things that can do to
have a healthy body and a healthy mind.
Global listening: during, SS will listen to a lecture based on emotional
nourishment, they will complete the sentences with the signal the speaker
use before each main idea.
Close listening: Ss will listen to emotional nourishment again they will circle
the correct answer to complete questions.
 Grammar focus: pre: teacher introduces modals of advice through a
conversations, he explains the functions and provide written examples
from the book. Practice: SS will work on their bool choosing a modal verb
that they think best complete the sentences. Production: Finally Ss wil
make up new sentences using the grammar , then they will share them
with the whole class.
 Vocabulary skill.Teacher introduces new examples of Phrasal verbs, he
explains SS the function and the usage. Then SS will match phrasal verbs
with their synonyms. Also they will complete questions using phrasal
verbs.

 Vocabulary log:( class activity) Teacher provides SS with a list


of words , SS will check a dictionary to find a definition of a word or a
synonym.

 Video practice: SS will watch an online video about 10 best healthy


lifestyle habits to do. After they have watch the video, teacher asks then
questions based on the video.
 Speaking task:
Plan: First SS are going to work in groups, they will brainstorm a list of ideas
that help SS to improve their help while they are studying.
Speak: they will present their ideas and their advice to another group,they will
agree or disagree or express other opinions.

 Extra activity ( speaking task)SS are given a handout they will


interview another partner about different isssues.( spotlight on you)
