 Vocabulary preview: Teacher elicits students to brainstorm words

 Once time SS have done this they are going to read sentences and circle
the best definition for each word in bold.

 Finally Tand SS will check the answers on the board.

3-Listening task 1: Pre – During – Post Framework

SS are going to listen about bottled water.

Pre before they listen SS will answer the following questions.
 Is the local water in your town or city safe to drink?
 Do many people filter their water or buy bottled water?
 How much do you spend on water each week?

During Global listening: SS are going to listen to bottled water, the radio host is
discussing the issue with two guests, SS will match the opinion that best matches
each speaker position on the issue. Close listening, SS will listen to bottled water
again they will complete notes about the pros and cons.

Post Ss will come to the board to check the correct answers.

4-Listening task 2:before listening SS will match the food with the
amount of water needed. Global listening : SS are going to listen to
the first part of the experiment with dry ice, they will identify the
things the speaker will use. Then they will listen to the last part of the
demonstration and they will check the pictures that accurately show
part of the demonstration. Close listening: SS will listen to the
experiment again and they will number the steps in the process in
order to 1-8.: 5Grammar focus:
Teacher provides new written examples of present and modals passive and
explanation. Ss are going to complete a paragraph using this form, finally Ss
will rewrite sentences present and modal passives.

6-Computer lab : SS are taken to the lab. Teacher provides a web site . SS will
practice the listening. Skill .www. English listening skill practice.

7: vocabulary activity 2:Ss will read sentences about dry ice , they will
write the meaning of the words in bold.

8Speaking Task:Ss)( class project) are going to work in groups ,


they are going to choose one product that is made in factories. plan :
As a group ,they will research and list the steps that explain how is it
made , they will create a poster as a visual when they present the
process and finally they will give a presentation.
