The longest case of kidnapping in São Paulo ,Brazil .

One day in 2008 Eloa Cristina Pimentel, 15 years old, was with her 3 colleagues doing
schoolwork , in one apartment in Santo Andre, São Paulo, Brazil. With the company of her
best friend Nayara Rodrigues da Silva, but the girls couldn't imagine what would happen in
the next hundred hours.
While the young were worried about school. Lindenberg Fernandes Alves 22 years old
ex-boyfriend of Eloa, had other plans .And after that those persons Eloa, Linderbeng, and
Nayara will become known for the longest case of kidnapping for ransom in Sao Paulo.
So , everything starts when Lindemberg breaks into the apartment of his ex-girlfriend,
motivating the end of the relationship . The "passional " crime became something more
dangerous. Initially, 2 of her friends were released while Eloa and Nayara stayed there with
him.

The policy was called, with this neighborhood heard helicopters, and vans of a wide variety
of news media. All cameras pointed at the windows for that apartment. Lindemberg during a
high of adrenaline, and narcism kept the girls in the sitting room and watched his image
passed on the television.

In the middle of incessantly effort of negotiations without any advance, one day passed, and
on 14 of October Nayara was released. The media was there to record everything . Eloa
sometimes went out of the windows and showed the people that she was good despite the
conditions.

She looked calm, but things got out of control and one day later, Nayara went back to the
apartment.
The idea was that the girl could manage in person with Lindemberg.
As a result, how can we imagine that Nayara went back to being a kidnapper
The return of Nayara wasn't planned as one excess of confidence in Nayara because
Lindember told that he would give Eloa if Nayara and Eloa`s brother were there.

With the nerves on edge, cold negotiations, and huge popular pressure through the media.
The police said that they heard the noise of gunshots from the apartment so they didn`t think
twice and invaded the apartment. They blew up the door.

Inside, the officials engaged in a physical fight in response Lindberg shot in the direction of
the two hostages: Nayara received one shot in her face and Eloa in her head and the groin.

In the end, Nayara left the apartment walking and Eloa was leaving for the hospital,
Lindember finally left handcuffed. Every time followed by the cameras.

At 23:30 on 18 October, Saturday Eloa was pronounced dead due to brain death.

The kidnapper was arrested and he was for the popular judge. Lindember was considered
guilty of 12 crimes and His sentence was 98 years and 10 months, imposed by Judge, but
this sentence was later reduced to 39 years.
When the society knew about the death of Eloa the policy was highly critical about the
negotiations. In 2008 The State Council for Human Rights filed a complaint against the
Police of the State of São Paulo, alleging that Lindemberg suffered unnecessary physical
aggression during the operation.

In 2015, a documentary was released about the case: 'Who Killed Eloá.' In it, there was a
critique and some blame the media had in this case, treating it more like a movie, something
for entertain, rather than a real case of a girl who was killed by her ex-boyfriend
