Narration
Once upon a time, in South Sulawesi
there was a place named Soppeng. The
people live happily and peacefully. Until
one day, the villagers are disturbed by the
presence of Nenek Pakande. Nenek
Pakande is a grandma who kidnap
children then bring them to the moon.
Every day on the evening, Nenek Pakande
walks around the village to find a children
that will be her prey.

Narration
One evening, a group of kids are
playing happily in the field. [Playing with
children here. Teach them the traditional
game]. But then, Nenek Pakande saw
them and then suddenly she jumped out
from the trees and start chasing the
children.
“Hahaha! I am the powerful Nenek
Pakande! Naneun Nenek Pakande-
ibnida!”

Moments later, a mother frantically

looking for her son. She was looking
around the house but did not find him.
A mother frantically looking for her son She went to the field too but still, she
couldnt see any sign of her son.

“Help! Help! Doum! Doum! I lost my

son! Somebody please help me!” said the
mother panicked.

"What happened to your son?" Said

one resident.

"... My son, my son ... my son is

gone," the mother replied sadly.

"Where did he go?" asked them

again.

"I do not know, sir!" The mother replied

with a confused, "he suddenly
disappeared! I am afraid now!”

Main Narration Narration

Finally, the villagers gather together

with the most powerful shaman in
Soppeng. They try to found out who is the
person who kidnap their children.
The villagers gather together with the most
powerful shaman in Soppeng “Oh! The kidnapper is Nenek
Pakande!” said the shaman.
“Nenek Pakande? The powerful
Nenek Pakande?” ask a villager.
“Yes! And if you want your children
to be safe, you have to expelled her from
this village.”
“But how can we do it? She’s so
powerful! Everybody knows that!”
“She’s afraid of one thing and one
thing only... the King of Giant, Raja
Bangkung Pitu Reppa Rawo Ale!” shout
the shaman.
“King of the Giant? Geoin-ui wang?”

The villagers starts panick. They

“Excuse me, ladies and gentleman.

stop her, huh? Even the powerful shaman
can defeat her. While you’re just a little
young man who cant do magic!” said a
villager.
“Ne, however not all magic can only
defeated by magic as well,” said La
Beddu.
“Geulaeseo bangbeob?” ask the
villagers.

Title: La Beddu Explain the planning

Main Narration Narration

“We’ll trick her. We’re gonna trap

her. All you have to do is prepare; a
bucket of soap liquid, skin of dry bamboo,
a harrow and a turtle, also an eel and a
La Beddu start to explain his idea to the
large stone.”

La Beddu?”
“I will pretend to be the King of
Giant,” answer La Beddu.
La Beddu start to explain his idea to the
villagers. Then comes the day when they
will trap Nenek Pakande. All the villagers
had closed their door and turn their
lamps off. The only light that appear in
the village comes from the biggest house.
A baby was laid there to attract Nenek
Pakande.

Title: Nenek Pakande come into Sao Radja

Main Narration Narration

Not long after, Nenek Pakande come

Sao Radja House to the big house.
“Hahaha! I am the Nenek Pakande!
Naneun Nenek Pakande-ibnida! Oh, what
is it? A baby? What a nice prey!”
Then, Nenek Pakande walk slowly
into the house and try to reach the baby.
But then she stops because she heard
something.
“Hey, Nenek Pakande! What are you
doing here?” said the voice. Its the voice
of La Beddu who using the skin of dry
bamboo from the roof of the house. That
is why his voice sounds like a giant’s
voice.
“I’m going to take this baby of
course! Who are you anyway?” she
replied.
“Naneun geoin-ui wang-ida! Raja
Bangkung Pitu Reppa Rawo Ale!”

Main Narration Narration

Nenek Pakande was shocked. She is

very afraid of the giant. But then she
continue, “Impossible! If you are the King
of Giant, proof it to me!”
La Beddu throw the bucker of liquid soap
La Beddu then pour the bucker of
liquid soap in front of Nenek Pakande.
“Cuih! Did you see that? Those are
my saliva!” said La Beddu.
Again, Nenek Pakande shocked. But
she keep asking the voice. “I still not
believe you! Show me another proof
again!”

Title: La Beddu throw flea and comb

Main Narration Narration

So La Beddu throw the turtle and

the harrow in front of Nenek Pakande.
“Those are my flea and comb!”
La Beddu throw flea and comb

“Woah! If his flea and comb is this

big, how big is his body then?” ask Nenek
Pakande to herself. She is so afraid so
that she ran away from the big house.
However, when she reach the stairs, she
stepped on a slippy eel and fell off. Nenek
Pakande bumped her head on the big
stone.

“Oh! Nae meoli!” screamed Nenek

Pakande.

Title: Nenek Pakande run away

Main Narration Narration

Before running away from the

village, Nenek Pakande tells a message to
the villagers, “Remember people! One
day I will come back and will kidnap all
Nenek Pakande run
your children! And I will always watching
you from the moon! Hahaha!”

Since that day, the villagers never

see Nenek Pakande again. But they still
warn their children for not playing too
long until evening.
