Thank you for your letter. It’s ages since I’ve heard from you. (I haven’t heard from you for ages)
Well, you know that I’m studying in the 11th form (grade) and there are four subjects on which I
have to take exams at the end of the school year. Math and Ukrainian are obliged. The other two
(ones) I chose English and physics, as they’re required at the university I want to get into.
Normally, there are two options of exam: oral and written. I prefer the second one. If you take a
written exam, you have more time to think it over and correct your mistakes comparing to the oral
one. Also, there is no pressure from your teacher.
We all know, that if you want to pass exams successfully, you should prepare for it carefully. As
for me, I have additional classes with tutors (private teachers) in each subject. Now we are
reviewing all the school material. I’m also given some tasks and examples of exams which I’m
working hard on.
