The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global

Goals, it’s The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member
States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and
into the future. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call
for action by all countries - developed and developing - in a global partnership.

integrated—they recognize that action in one area will affect outcomes in

others, and that development must balance social, economic and
environmental sustainability.
So yeah, I’m kinda interested to know those 17 goals from your side, so
please drop all the SDGs, you know in the chat box, everyone.. come on, I
think you aren’t aware of it, is that so? Start sending and prove me I’m
wrong.

It’s definitely a universal call to action, and its not a responsibility for any
specific country or any society, business and someone else’s responsibility. to
end poverty, hunger, climate crisis, AIDS, and discrimination against women and
girls, Human rights abuses. Let’s Make a Difference Today.
So, The creativity, ability, courage to go take a step forward, knowhow,
technology and financial resources from all of society is necessary to achieve
the SDGs in every context.
So, it’s obvious that we can’t look into all the SDGs as
So, here we’re to focus on one SDG goal which is relevant and connects with
our topic and purpose, You are the captain of your own ship.
That’s known as Quality education literally has 10 targets.
Read AIM on the slide

So, achieving inclusive and quality education for all reaffirms the belief that education
is one of the most powerful and proven vehicles for sustainable development. This
goal ensures that all girls and boys complete free primary and secondary schooling by
2030. And also aims to provide equal access to affordable vocational training and all,
to eliminate gender and wealth disparities, and achieve universal access to a quality
higher education.
See Children from the poorest households are up to four times more likely to be
out of school than those of the richest households. Disparities between rural and
urban areas also remain high even now.
So, basically SDG 4 aims to provide children and young people with quality and easily accessible
education plus other learning opportunities.

When it comes to current world, current century The

critical need everywhere in the
world is for education to prepare students to lead successful, fulfilling lives.
In today’s world, this means providing them with relevant educational
experiences that nurture their passions, problem-solving abilities, and
higher-level thinking skills, analytical skills, including critical thinking and
creativity, creative analysis.

So, It focuses on Beyond work-specific skills, emphasis must be placed on

developing high-level cognitive and non-cognitive/transferable skills, such as
problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, teamwork, communication
skills and conflict resolution, which can be used across a range of
occupational fields and also challenging practical life.

The knowledge, skills, values and attitudes required by citizens to lead

productive lives, make informed decisions and assume active roles locally
and globally in facing and resolving global challenges can be acquired
through education for sustainable development, here in this goal.

So, The availability of up-to-date, quality education is crucial, vital for decision-
making, particularly in current contexts. Then now I hope that you could have got
the idea about the correlation between SDG 4, QUALITY EDUCATION and
DECISION MAKING and also the importance of acquiring widen knowledge,
handful of various skills through updated, quality education.
If so, If you have understood the importance of such education, in thinking on our
feet, and being able to tackle the situation by own, please raise ur hand. u can
use the zoom option to raise.
Before we go further, let’s think a while.. all of use, including me.. and this is not
something to answer someone else, this is for you, for your heart. And yah just
think in which state you are now.. this second is to let yourself know your ability…
that’s all.

So now, we are to discuss about standing on own legs and thinking on our own feet.

Captaining your own ship requires you to put yourself on the line and stay in control when the seas
get rocky. And in response to rough seas, well, many of us are content going below the deck and
hoping somebody else takes over. WE HAVE TO BE able too acknowledge responsibility when
responsibility ought to be acknowledged. This is a remarkably mature and developed brain function
that requires courage, and so not everyone is willing to do this.

if we try hand over responsibility of decision to others we are often setting up a situation
where we can blame them if things don’t go our way.

Everything in our lives is a choice, even doing nothing. At any moment we have hundreds of
decision making options in our day today, some significant and some seemingly
insignificant. We need to become more aware of our decision-making process

Decision making is the process of making choices by identifying a decision, gathering

information, and assessing alternative resolutions.
Using a step-by-step decision-making process can help you make more deliberate, thoughtful
decisions by organizing relevant information and defining alternatives. This approach increases
the chances that you will choose the most satisfying alternative possible.
