History of Technology

The history of technology is the history of the invention of tools and techniques and is one
of the categories of world history. Technology can refer to methods ranging from simple
stone tools to complex genetic engineering and information technology that have emerged
since the 1980s. The term technology comes from the Greek word techne, meaning art and
craft, and the word logos, meaning word and language. Originally used to describe applied
arts, it is now used to describeadvances and changes that impact the environment around
us.[1]New knowledge has also enabled people to create new things, and conversely, many
scientific endeavors are made possible by technologies that help people travel to places they
previously could not reach and by scientific instruments that allow us to allow us to study
nature in more detail than we could have done. Do. I think they activate the natural
senses.Since much of technology is applied science, the history of technology is linked to the
history of science. Because technology consumes resources, the history of technology is
closelylinked to economic history. From these resources, technology produces other
resources, including technological artifacts used in daily life. Technological changes influence
and are influenced by the cultural traditions of society. It is a force for economic growth and
a means for developing and spreading economic, political and military power and
wealth.Measure technical progressMany sociologists and anthropologists have developed
social theories that deal with social and cultural development. Some, such as Lewis H.
Morgan, Leslie White and Gerhard Lenski, viewed technological progress as the main factor
in the development of human civilization. Morgan's concept of three major stages of social
evolution (barbarism, savagery, and civilization) can be divided based on technological
milestones such as fire. White argued that the measure by which one could judge the
development of the culture ofwas energy.[2]
