INTRODUCTORY RITE
After everybody in the wedding entourage has processed and has taken proper
places in the congregation, the celebration of the Holy Mass begins.
Commentator: Good afternoon brothers and sisters in Christ.
Today, we gather as a community to participate
in the celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the
Mass and to witness the celebration of the
Sacrament of Matrimony between JUN REY
and JONAH ELIZA. Let us all stand.
Priest: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the
Holy Spirit.
All: Amen.
Priest: The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of
God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you
all.
All: And with your spirit.
Priest: Dear brothers and sisters, the Holy Sacrament of
Matrimony is a covenant of God’s love between man
and woman. It is most fitting that we celebrate this
sacred Love of God, manifested in the divine marital
bond between JUN REY and JONAH ELIZA, in the
celebration of the Word and of the Eucharist. As the
Christian family of JUN REY and JONAH ELIZA,
we remind them that they are called to a life of holiness
and fidelity as husband and wife. Let us rejoice with
them and ask God’s blessing for them and for their
family.
Priest: Glory to God in the highest.
All: Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to
people of good will. We praise you, we bless you, we
adore you, we glorify you, we give you thanks for your
great glory, Lord God, heavenly King, O God,
Almighty Father.
Lord Jesus Christ, Only Begotten Son, Lord God, Lamb
of God, Son of the Father, you take away the sins of the
world, have mercy on us; you take away
the sins of the world, receive our prayer; you are seated
at the right hand of the Father, have mercy on us. For
you alone are the Holy One, you alone are the Lord,

THE COLLECT
Priest: Let us pray.
O God, who in creating the human race willed that man
and wife should be one, join, we pray, in a bond of
inseparable love these your servants, JUN REY and
JONAH ELIZA who are to be united in the covenant
of Marriage, so that, as you make their love fruitful,
they may become, by your grace, witnesses to charity
itself. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who
lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.

THE LITURGY OF THE WORD
FIRST READING (Tobit 8:4b-8)
A reading from the book of Tobit.
On their wedding night, Tobiah rose from bed and said to his wife, “My
sister, come, let us pray and beg our Lord to grant us mercy and
protection.”
She got up, and they started to pray and beg that they might be
protected. He began with these words:
“Blessed are you, O God of our ancestors;
blessed be your name forever and ever!
Let the heavens and all your creation bless you forever.
You made Adam, and you made his wife Eve
to be his helper and support;
and from these two the human race has come.
You said, ‘It is not good for the man to be alone;
let us make him a helper like himself.’
Now, not with lust,
but with fidelity I take this kinswoman as my wife.

THE RITE OF MARRIAGE
All remain seated, excluding the bride and bridegroom, whom the Priest now
addresses, using one of the formularies given below or similar words.
Commentator: All remain seated for the beginning of the Rite
of Marriage. JUN REY and JONAH ELIZA,
please stand. May I request the parents, the ring
bearer, the coin bearer, the best man and the
maid of honor to stand beside the couple. The
principal sponsors are likewise requested to
stand and remain on the first step of the
sanctuary.
THE RITE OF MARRIAGE ALLOCUTION
Priest: Dearly beloved JUN REY and JONAH ELIZA; you are here
today to seal your love with an eternal bond before the Church.
I assure you of the prayers of our Christian community,
that God may pour his abundant blessings on your love
and help you carry out the duties of the married state.
And you, dear parents, principal sponsors, brothers and
sisters, relatives and friends, may I ask you to help JUN
REY and JONAH ELIZA with your prayers and
accept them as a new couple in our Christian
community.

PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL
Priest: Brothers and sisters, God is the eternal source of love
and the powerful foundation of divine goodness, let us
offer to him our needs as we entreat him, saying:
All: Lord, keep us faithful and strong in your love.
Reader: For Holy Mother the Church, our Pope Francis, our
Bishop Jose Corazon, all the bishops, priests, deacons,
and the religious – may they continue to be the living
examples of the true and faithful love for the People of

may they be transformed in mind and heart to fulfill
their solemn promise of humanitarian service laden
with values of the Gospel especially in protecting the
dignity of Marriage and Family and in defending the

contemplating on Marriage – may they be steadfast in
the grace of the Sacrament of Matrimony and always
come to the renewal of living their vows in fidelity and
in truth to each other, we pray:

keep delighting in the Lord’s gift of health in spirit and
in body and hope for the favors of God-given prosperity
and enduring strength in the daily struggles of life, we

today in the Sacrament of Matrimony, may God bestow
on them the strong foundation for a family after the
example of the Holy Family at Nazareth and raise their
children according to the guidance of the Holy Spirit,

THE COMMUNION RITE
Priest: At the Saviour's command and formed by divine
teaching, we dare to say:

NUPTIAL BLESSING
Priest: Let us pray to the Lord for this bride and groom, who
come to the altar as they begin their married life, that
(by partaking of the Body and Blood of Christ) they
may always be bound together by love for one another.
Holy Father, who formed man in your own image, male
and female you created them, so that as husband and
wife, united in body and heart, they might fulfil their
calling in the world;
O God, who, to reveal the great design you formed in
your love, willed that the love of spouses for each other
should foreshadow the covenant you graciously made
with your people,
so that, by fulfilment of the sacramental sign,
the mystical marriage of Christ with his Church might
become manifest in the union of husband and wife
among your faithful; Graciously stretch out your right
hand over these your servants JUN REY and JONAH
