Dear Student
You should prepare a final video talking about your life project, following the next
stages:
- Check the content of Unit 3 (Module 9 to module 12) from the E-book.
1
For more information about the three main grammar topics of the task read the
Annex 1 Task 4 to learn how to use them properly.
-Make sure to attend and actively participate in at least three (3) STT workshops
proposed in the course during the dates of the task.
-Take evidence of your participation (screenshots) and include them in the final
document. Then, complete the chart provided in the Annex 1 Task 4 with this
information: Name of the tutor who held the encounter, topic of the workshop and
answer the following question “What did I learn in this workshop?”
Check the course mailbox and forum tutor’s message, and register (hour and day)
according to the link sent by the tutor. Please do not leave your registration until the
last minute because the schedules will probably be full. You can show a presentation
in Power point (maximum 5 slides).
You will have to introduce yourself and present your life project. Consider the
following questions for your synchronous meeting.
- Prepare your speech: Practice how to present and explain your ideas. Remember
that the aim of this task is to express your ideas with coherence and cohesion about
the topic.
If you are not sure about pronunciation, you can practice on the following webpage.
https://www.naturalreaders.com/online/ and listen to the correct pronunciation.
Check the configuration of your equipment, and make sure that the sound,
microphone, and video are working for the interview.
2
Be punctual in your entry to the tool (Google Meet, Zoom, or Teams) chosen for the
synchronous meeting. Have 15 to 20 minutes available for the meeting, so you must
be punctual. If you use a presentation, don’t read all the time.
2. You will present your life project through a video. This video must include an
introduction and the presentation of your expectations of the future while you share
your visual aids. You can upload the video to platforms such as YouTube or Google
drive making sure it is accessible to all public and share the link on the forum and the
final paper.
Before recording, take enough time to prepare your verbal production in English to
evidence good pronunciation and natural speech and fluency.
Under no circumstances should you as a student read your speech. If so, your video
will be graded low.
- It is recommended that the video be accompanied by your visual aids that reinforce
the message of what you are telling. Your face must appear in the video. The
minimum length of the video should be three (3) minutes.
- Show your photo ID at the beginning of the video. Record in real time your video
showing your face, facing the camera, and narrating your presentation in English in
your own voice.
Consider.
3
- Use linking words to connect your ideas and show sequence during your speech. For
further information about linking words, check Annex 1 task 4.
- Consolidate the information of all the stages in a PDF document with the STT chart
or the screenshots from your presentation with your tutor, link of your video and the
self-assessment paragraph.
