EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 007-2019

AN ORDER REORGANIZING THE KAWIT MUNICIPAL HOUSING BOARD

WHEREAS, Article XII, Section 9 of the Constitution of the Republic of the Philippines, the
Local Government Code of 1991, Republic Act No. 7279 or the Urban Development and Housing
Act (UDHA) of 1992, mandates local government unit with the responsibility to provide basic
services and facilities to include continuing housing program and provide a just and humane
eviction and demolition processes at the local government level;

WHEREAS, cognizant of the need for a long term housing plan as an integral part of the socio-
economic development owing to the growing population of Kawit which is expected to generate
pressure on land resources necessitating a rationalized and planned approach in the construction
of dwelling units, Municipal Ordinance No. 07-17 was enacted creating the Kawit Municipal
Housing Board, tasked to formulate, develop, implement and monitor policies on the provision for
housing and resettlement areas, and on the observance of the right of the underprivileged and
homeless to a just and humane eviction and demolition;

WHEREAS, Municipal Ordinance No. 07-17 empowers the Local Chief Executive to modify the
composition of the Board, or add/remove members as maybe necessary for the unobstructed
functions of the board through an Executive Order;

NOW THEREFORE, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law and for the interest of public
service, I, ANGELO EMILIO G. AGUINALDO, Municipal Mayor of Kawit, do hereby order the
reorganization of the Kawit Municipal Housing Board as follows:

Chairperson : ANGELO EMILIO G. AGUINALDO, Municipal Mayor

Vice-Chairperson : ARMANDO V. BERNAL, Vice-Mayor

Members :
1. Hon. Edward R. Samala, Jr., Chairperson of the Sangguniang Bayan Committee on
Housing and Urban Development
2. Engr. Rey Victor S. Santos, Municipal Administrator
3. Engr. Jonathan B. Jarin, Municipal Engineer
4. Atty. Emelito C. Pelayo, Market Administrator
5. Anna Liza P. Caday, Acting MPDC
6. Reynaldo Valencia, Kawit TODA Federation, Inc.
7. Bernard Tolentino, Kawiteño Riders Club
8. Representative from the NHA

The powers, functions, duties, policies and other matters pertinent to the board shall be as those
listed and detailed in Kawit Municipal Ordinance No. 07-17.

This Executive Order shall take effect immediately.

Done in the Municipality of Kawit, Province of Cavite, this 19th day of February in the Year of
Our Lord Two Thousand and Nineteen.
