SECTION 2
MEETING WITH SUPERVISOR/S
Note:
1. Section 2 serves as periodic monitoring of research
progress
2. The candidate is required to meet his/her supervisor at
least 5 (FIVE) times per academic year
3. Supervisor/s will assess the doctoral candidate ’s ability
in terms of knowledge of discipline/research area,
critical thinking, scientific, technical and problem
solving skills.
4. Report on progress of candidate (satisfactory /
unsatisfactory) will be submitted to Senate at end of
each semester.
5. Feedback given to the candidate on progress and
performance need to be seriously taken into
consideration.

RECORD AND REFLECTION ON PROFESSIONALISM

ENHANCEMENT
Note:
1. Section 3 serves as monitoring and record of
achievement of holistic learning outcomes of the
doctoral programme
2. It is a requirement of this programme that the
candidate participate in activities that enhance his/her
communication skills (written & oral), teamwork,
leadership, organisational skills , life-long learning and
professionalism.
3. Supervisors will assess (formatively) the doctoral
candidate ’s ability in these areas.
