STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

I'm Jobin George, an Indian citizen from Kerala who wants to study abroad in Canada. I
have been granted admission to Conestoga College in Ontario, Canada's Applied
Manufacturing Management—Welding (1553) program, which will start in January
2024. I completed my Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from APJ
Abdul Kalam Technological University's Vimal Jyothi Engineering College in Kannur,
Kerala.

My profile meets all requirements for admission, and I graduated from Nirmala Higher
Secondary School Chemperi in Kannur, Kerala, with an 82 percent grade point average.
In 2020, I received a CGPA of 7, graduated, and took the IELTS test, where I received a
band score of 6.5 overall. I've been a team leader at Qua Quest Tech Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a
new Ed-tech business founded in 2021, for two years. As of right now, it is the sole E-
learning platform in India for students in the higher education sectors, and it is partnered
with Microsoft, Google, Red Hat, and other IT knowledge companies.

On field of mechanical engineering my interest was in Manufacturing Technology during


my under graduate studies. The job opportunities in this field are high so future studies
are required to attain future in manufacturing field. In this program, I will get the chance
to express and utilize complex manufacturing design software and welding skills will
help to meet the industry goals. The theories and practical mould me to expose the real-
life situations in workplace. This two-year Ontario College Graduate Certificate Program
in Applied Manufacturing Management – Welding is a combination of theory and
practical sessions which covers whole range manufacturing and welding topics for an
advanced manufacturing process.

As a Mechanical Engineer, I have done my under graduate project on Design and


fabrication of driving and steering mechanism of electric Go-kart and manufactured
electric Go-kart for ISIE National Karting Race Season 5.0 at Bhopal, India reached in
final round. I learn software like AutoCAD, CATIA and Creo to enhance my knowledge
in designing, production and manufacturing industries to improve my job opportunities.
On successful completion, a solid knowledge is acquired in both manufacturing and
welding field for various opportunities. I have done a small term intership at Rubco Huat
Woods pvt ltdduring This period of time I gained more knowledge about manufacturing.
During my work at Quest Tech Solutions, I encountered a lot of topics related to
mechanical engineering and manufacturing. As a mechanical engineering student, I
wanted to learn more about the manufacturing and welding fields.

I chose Canada for my higher education because it offers superior learning skills and
practical knowledge. Canadian colleges and universities have a world-wide reputation
and is valuable in India which will help me building a good career in India. The
education system of Canada is brilliant in all sorts of ways and ranked best among in the
world. In addition, Canada is safe and peaceful nation with good health care facilities.
Canadian institutes provide a dynamic, innovative and challenging environment in which
one can create their true potential. Canadian qualification is a strong base for my future
careers in India.

While researching various colleges in Canada, I came across the Conestoga College for
the higher education and finalize the Applied Manufacturing Management-Welding.
Conestoga College is one of the Ontario’s fastest growing colleges, delivering a full
range of career focused education, training and applied research programs preparing
students for successful career and promotes economic prosperity throughout the region
and across Ontario. It has a very good reputation and offers excellent quality of
education. It seemed to be the most welcoming of all institutes, with its huge campus and
all activities with finest faculty and education. Conestoga also has a proven track records
of continuous improvement and success.

I come from a nuclear family of five members, my father George Mathew is a ex-
servicemen and a farmer. My mother Sajamma Jose is a Registered Nurse and a
housewife and I have two brothers, elder brother Jeevan George a Physiotherapist and
Younger brother Christy George a MHA student in Yenepoya University,
Mangalore,India . My family is my priority and there are certain responsibilities that I
need to fulfill by returning to India after my studies.

My parents have provided the financing and financial assistance for my further education
in Canada. For my first year of academic tuition, I paid 8,654.97 CAD, and for a GIC
deposit to cover my living costs, I paid 10,000 CAD. Along with this declaration, I have
provided the required documentation.
I want to return to my own country with a strong skill set after completing my further
education in Canada and work in the esteemed manufacturing sector. The trend indicates
that there is a large need for competent manufacturing personnel in India due to the
manufacturing sector's phenomenal rise. In order to join a reputable organization, I would
want to return as a knowledgeable Engineer with both theoretical and practical expertise.
After completing my professional career in India, I want to be near to my family and
need their assistance in return for how they helped me. So, when I graduated, I would
return to India to reunite my family and choose my career.

Dear Sir, I know that studying Canada requires a lot discipline and dedication. I am a
law-abiding student and very responsible individual. I hope that you will find all the
documents in proper order and I kindly request you to process my visa application as
