ETHICS

SEATWORK: Answer the following on a yellow sheet of pad paper. Work on this in
your time and submit it to your mayor today, Feb14,2024.

Instructions: Answer all questions thoughtfully and to the best of your ability

Part 1: Ethical Dilemmas (15 minutes)

Scenario 1: You're taking a test and see your friend struggling. They subtly hint for help
by looking at your paper. What do you do? Explain your reasoning and consider the
potential consequences of each choice.

Scenario 2: You find a lost wallet containing a large sum of money and the owner's
information. Do you keep the money or try to return it? Why or why not?

Scenario 3: You overhear a rumor about a classmate that could damage their reputation.
Do you stay silent, spread the rumor, or try to intervene? Justify your choice considering
the different ethical principles involved.

Part 2: Reflection and Application (15 minutes)

1. Define ethics in your own words.


2. What are some core ethical principles that guide your decisions?
3. How can ethical considerations be applied to different aspects of your life, such as
academics, relationships, and social media?
4. Can there be situations where ethical principles conflict? If so, how do you
navigate these situations?
