Instructions

ATTENTION: You MUST bring your: 1) appointment confirmation letter, 2) DS-160 confirmation page,
3) Current passport and all previous passports that you have, 4) One visa photo (2x2 inches with white
background), 5) I-20 Form or DS-2019 Form, 6) I-901 SEVIS fee receipt, and 7) Proof of financial
support for the first year of your program. Be prepared to speak about your plans while in the U.S. and
after you return to Thailand.

IMPORTANT Note:
If a visa is issued, there may be an additional visa issuance reciprocity fee, depending on your nationality. The Department
of State’s website can help you find out if you must pay a visa issuance fee and what the fee amount is. On the interview
date, you can bring cash in either Thai Baht or USD, or credit cards (Visa, Master, Amex and Discover) with the card
holder’s presence strictly required if your visa is issued. Debit cards are not accepted.

“Starting on 1 December 2018, the barcode number on the DS-160 that visa applicants bring on their interview
dates must be the same one used to schedule the appointment. Otherwise, the applicants will have to reschedule
their appointments."

"Applicants should arrive at the US Embassy for their interviews only 15 minutes before their appointment time.”

Embassy security procedures require that all visitors receive a security inspection. You will be allowed to check
one cell phone at the Embassy gate but the US Embassy and the Embassy guards are not liable for any loss or
damage to your cell phone while it is checked. You will NOT be allowed to enter the U.S. Embassy for your
appointment carrying any of the following items:

Any other battery-operated or electronic devices such as computer tablets, pagers, cameras,
audio/video cassettes, MP3s, laptops, portable music players, smartwatch, headphone, token,
calculators, or power banks
Any oversize shoulder bags or purses.
Any oversize handbags and travel bags, large backpacks, briefcases, or suitcases. Applicants
can only carry in clear bags containing papers needed for their appointment
Bags such as travel bags, backpacks, briefcases, suitcases, leather, cloth bags, and zip folders -
you can only carry plastic folders containing application-related papers
Any food item (there is a coffee stand with snacks available for purchase).
Sealed envelopes or packages
E-cigarette / cigarettes / cigars / match boxes / lighters.
Any sharp objects such as scissors, pen knives or nail files.
Weapons or explosive materials of any kind.

The list provided above is not exhaustive. Other items may be prohibited at the discretion of security staff. Other
than the one allowed cell phone, the US Embassy will not accept the storage of any of the above prohibited items.
You will have to make alternate arrangements to store these items before you enter the Embassy.
