BULLYING
"It's All About Connection"
Children mistreated by their peers
may fail to fulfill their potential and
make the most of their talents.

Bullying is when people repeatedly and

intentionally use words or actions against
someone or a group of people to cause
distress and risk to their wellbeing.

Bullying in schools is a big problem because

it makes students feel scared, sad, and
alone. It can happen in different ways, it can
start small, with teasing, someone is mean to
another person, hurts them physically, or
spreads rumors about them online.

Bullying in schools can lead to various

well-being and academic performance. can teach everyone about what bullying is and why it's
wrong. They can also make clear rules about bullying and
what happens if someone does it. It's important for students
to know they can talk to teachers or other adults if they're
being bullied or if they see it happening to someone else.

Facilitate opportunities for positive reinforcement by helping

students get involved in afterschool activities that align with
their hobbies and interests. Spreading posters with slogans
can promote the idea that bullying is inappropriate in any
form. With determination to mark this activity a success, the
BKD officers together with their adviser Mrs. Rosario
Martinez conducted a room-to-room campaign for MNHS
students. Posters are pinned on each room's bulletin board
to impose a reminder that discrimination or entirely bullying
must not be displayed not only along the four corners of
their room, but everywhere they go.

The whole organization is grateful as ever to the lovely

students of MNHS and the whole school for their full
participation in this activity.

By doing these things, schools can create a safe and happy

place for everyone. It's essential to understand that everyone
deserves to be treated with kindness and respect.

SCHOOL HAZARD MAPPING

Mangatarem National High School
School hazard mapping involves
identifying and assessing potential
hazards within school premises to ensure
the safety and well-being of students, staff,
and visitors. Here are some
exemplifications of hazards typically
included in school hazard mapping:
natural hazards like earthquakes and
floods, man-made hazards like fires and
violence, health hazards like infectious
diseases, environmental hazards like
exposure to pollutants, and infrastructure
hazards like structural deficiencies.

School hazards can be classified into

different categories based on their nature,
origin, and potential impact, allowing for a
systematic approach to hazard mapping
and risk management: physical hazards,
chemical hazards, biological hazards,
psychosocial hazards, and emerging
hazards.

By exemplifying the types of hazards and

categorizing them, schools can
systematically identify, assess, and
mitigate risks to ensure a safe learning
environment for students, staff, and
visitors. This proactive approach to
hazard mapping contributes to effective
risk management and emergency
preparedness, ultimately safeguarding
the well-being of the school community.

A clean school fosters a
positive atmosphere
M aintaining cleanliness in school is crucial for
creating a healthy and conducive learning
environment. Cleanliness fosters a sense of pride and
respect for the school community, instills good habits in
students, and reduces the spread of germs and illness. A
clean school reflects respect for oneself and others,
instilling important values in students. Let's work together
to keep our school clean for everyone's well-being and
success. Our YES-O (Youth for Environment in Schools
Organization) officers are effectively persuading students
to uphold cleanliness standards in our school. Through
their initiatives, they're inspiring their peers to take pride
in maintaining a clean and healthy learning environment.
