0 OBSERVATIONS AND RECOMMENDATION

OBSERVATIONS :

1. The Relay setting & Co‐Ordination of the Normal operating system are concluded based on the Full Load Capacity of Transformers & SC Data.
Recommended Settings for Over Current & Earth Fault relays are furnished along with the Relay Co‐Ordination Charts.

2. Protection relay settings of BUNGE INDIA PVT LTD electrical network were derived for fastest possible clearance of the faults while maintaining both
time and fault discrimination for minimal disturbance to healthy electrical operating network.

3. Characteristics of all IDMT stage of OC & EF protection relays were revised to IEC Normal Inverse and Very Inverse for operation of relays in
coordinated manner.

4. High set of primary side of Transformer to be set at 1.3xReflected fault current to make it inert to through (11KV) faults. Owing to its duty of
instantaneous operation for fast clearance of 11kV Transformer Fault.
5. 2nd Harmonic Restraint Feature is recommended for 11kV Relays to prevent spurious operation of Earth fault Protection while switching on the
Transformer.

6. Operating time delay recommended for overcurrent/earth fault protection at below locations:
 350ms @ Incomer of Turbine Generator
 40ms @ Incomer of Switchboard# 2
 200ms @ Incomer of 11kV Switchboard# 3
 40ms @ Outgoing Feeders of 11kV Switchboard# 3 and 11kV Switchboard# 4
 400ms @ Incomers of 0.433kV MPCC# 1 and MPCC# 2

7. The existing relay file for the 7UM622 has not been received from your side. Once the file is received, recommendations for its settings can be
provided.

8 For detailed analysis, please refer relay & release settings of respective relay/release. In addition, illustrative Relay coordination graphs are enclosed
. towards the end of this report, which is followed while arriving at protection setting of similar branch relays/releases.
