Exercise 4.1 - Assign Learning Items to


Users
Instructions
Using your SAP SuccessFactors Learning instance, assign learning to users with the
following specifications.

Step 1
User Record

1. Assign your User Training item you created in a previous activity to Ted Victor. The
item should be required and due 30 days from today.
2. Also assign the Workplace Safety Curriculum (Curriculum already exist in the
system) to the user you created with your own name in an earlier activity.
3. Run the Learning Needs Group by User report (as PDF) for both Ted Victor and your
own user.

Step 2
User Needs Management

1. Assign your User Training item you created in a previous activity to all people who
are Full Time (Employee Status) and have the Job Code description of Sales
Manager. The item should be required and due 10 days from today.
2. Assign this same group of users the Payroll Curriculum (Curriculum already exists in
the system).
3. Run the Learning Needs Group by User report (as PDF) for all users who you
assigned the item to. If you are getting too many results and the report will not
generate, make sure to check your User and Item Filters.
4. Run the Curriculum Status Group by User report (as PDF) for all users who you
assigned the curriculum to. If you are getting too many results and the report will not
generate, make sure to check your User and Curriculum Filters. Reminder, you
should not submit a blank report.

Step 3
Job Code

1. Associate your SF Learning Training Curriculum that you created in a previous


activity to the VP Information Technology Job Code.
2. Run the Curricula with Related Job Codes report (as PDF) for the VP Information
Technology Job Code.

Step 4
Assignment Profile

1. A curriculum with the title, Warehouse Operations Safety has been created in the
system and now needs to be assigned to all users who are in the ACME-CORP and
Sub-Domains, who are Full Time (Employee Status) and have an (Employee Type)
of Exempt Employee.
2. The GENERAL (ID) catalog has been created and now needs to be assigned to all
users whose records are stored in the ACME-OPS and CORP Domains. Create an
Assignment Profile to assign this catalog.
3. Conduct two User Searches to return the users who match each of the Assignment
Profiles above and download the results to Excel.
4. Email both Excel files along with the four reports for the activities above to your
instructor(s).

Send your report(s) and Excel files in one email with the subject Ex4.1: Assign
Learning Items to Users - ## (Replace ## with your instance number) to your
instructor(s).

Exercise 4.2 – Create Catalogs


Instructions
Using your SAP SuccessFactors Learning instance, create a Catalog with the following
specifications.

Step 1
Your company has decided that they would like to make all of the items and curricula that
you have previously created to an additional group of users. You must follow the following
business rules:

A. Catalog ID and Descriptions MUST start with your initials. You may create your
own naming convention but it must start with your initials.
B. Catalog should be saved to the ACME-CORP.
C. Add yourself as the Contact.
D. Add all of the Items and Curricula you have created in earlier modules to your
newly created Catalog.

Step 2
Grant any user who meets all of the following criteria access to your catalog:

A. Job Code of: Sales Manager, Sales Associate, Sales Director NE


B. Employee Status: Full Time
C. Employee Type: Exempt
D. Hire Date: On or After January 1, 1995
E. Domain: ACME-CORP and subdomains

Step 3
Conduct a User Search to return the users who match the Assignment Profile.Download
the search results to Excel and email the Excel file to your instructor(s).

Send your search results in one email with the subject Ex4.2: Create Catalogs - ##
(Replace ## with your instance number) to your instructor(s).

Exercise 4.3 - Record Learning Events


Instructions
Using your SAP SuccessFactors Learning instance, record the following learning events.

Step 1
Record a learning event for XYZ (use your initials) - Computer Science Bachelor Degree
for the following Users. All users completed 120 Credit hours, other than Waldo who
completed 123 Credit hours.

1. Karen Lambert
2. Shari Nielson
3. Nate Pella
4. Larry Hillers
5. Waldo Hanson

Step 2
Record a Learning Event for your LMS Admin Training Item you created in a previous
activity for the same users above. All users completed the course successfully other than
Nate who was a No Show.

Step 3
Run the Learning History report (as PDFs) for all users above and email that to your
instructor(s).

Send your report(s) one email with the subject Ex4.3: Record Learning Events - ##
(Replace ## with your instance number) to your instructor(s).
