Background and Rationale Academic engagement is a strong predictor of academic performance. The more students are engaged in the instruction, the more
students will further their success. It is a well-known fact that academic engagement is linked to better study skills, academic productivity,
and essential desirable learners’ behavior for a functioning classroom (Otero, 91).
One way to ensure the best learning environment outcome is to manage our classroom effectively and efficiently. We can create a
conducive educational setting through positive reinforcement and giving feedback to our learners.
Reinforcement and feedback plays an important role in the learning process as it has direct and indirect consequences on students’
behavior.
Application Objectives At the end of the activity, the participants/learners should be able to:
• Exemplify good and desirable behavior inside and outside the school premises;
• Increase student’s academic engagements and self-esteem;
• Create a functioning behavior classroom that is conducive to learning.
List of Expected Outputs • Learners with desirable behavior.
• Learners with increased self-esteem.
Monitoring Plan The teacher will count or tally the total number of tokens collected by learners every summative evaluation.
Learner/s with the most number of stickers will receive a variety of positive reinforcement of reward.
