(Grade 11 - STEM)

I. LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
Most Essential Learning Competency: Write a research title. (CS_RS11- IIIc-2)

At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:


a) discuss research title and writing guidelines;
b) create a research title; and
c) collaborate with classmates in group activities.

Learning Across Curriculum: Relating topic with other learning areas


1. SCIENCE – Field of medicine. Researches must have accurate titles to provide accurate
and effective results for clinical studies.
2. SOCIAL STUDIES – Titles of Historical researches must be written correctly to avoid
confusions.
3. MATHEMATICS – Titles must be written correctly to arrive with correct solutions to
problems.

B. Motivation:

Let the students guess the Title of the song or movie acted by their classmates.

C. Lesson Proper
Discuss the following concepts:
RESEARCH TITLE
It prefaces the study by providing a summary of the main idea and is usually short and
concise.
Activity: The students will guess if the guidelines shown are TRUE or FALSE

RESEARCH TITLE GUIDELINES


Formula: Topic + Participants + Locale
a) It should not be more that 15 words
b) Written in ALL CAPS
c) Follows the inverted pyramid format
d) Written ideally in 1-2 lines

DEVELOPING MASTERY
Let the students analyze if the following research titles follow the Research Title guidelines
using the Game Show Quiz Activity.
