bending, placing in position, fixing of bar, formwork placing, Casting of concrete, Curing of concrete.
Here in the site the used concrete quality for column, beam & slab is c-25 & steel quality
of S-300 for 6mm – 12mm diameter bar; also S-400 steel grade for 14mm diameter & above.
- Preparation of site diary, Preparation of check list, Preparation of take of sheet for (Bar schedule,
bar cutting, Form work, concrete work) are executed at office.

Abstract:

-me and other students who came for practice participate both in the site and at office. In the
site we check whether the concrete is properly cured or not, we check whether overlapping of
reinforcement bars are correct or not & other things which we see on plan but not exists on site. If there
is mistake while working, we comment on it, above all we learn from others. Whereas in office we
prepare take off and ask any question that we didn’t understand.

Abstract:
- After the placements of beams in all direction in their respective places, bar spacing
according to the design requirement would follows. Near the middle span of the slab the bars
may be cutoff depending on the requirement and/or depending on the design specification that
has been decided. At the site what I have seen is a little bit different from what I have learnt in
class. The engineers put an easy order taking an account the ease of construction.
. -The bars are put both in the longitudinal and transversal direction. Just after the
placement of the reinforcements pouring of concrete goes on. Care should be taken for
integrated construction. There should be a vibrator for proper concrete compaction to avoid
segregation.

Abstract:

-From continuing the previous week, this week also progressing the project as follows.. I
have seen in this week how to construct a solid slab. Slab reinforcement placed before the concrete
compactions are made. And also I have seen how the slab reinforcement arranged or placed according
to the design. After placing re-bar, cast concrete by appropriate compacter. After casting concrete
curing is done morning and evening in order to avoid cracking. The form work of slab displaced after 21
days. And also in this week extend the column from the first basement and column form work is made.

-Takeoff sheet: is tabular standard format in which dimension of items from the Working
drawing is transferred for further calculations. It is the process of reading drawing and calculating the
amount of materials/works needed. These quantities are calculated in a specially prepared tabular
format, so as to aid accurate preparation and enable checking/rechecking or adjusting of amounts &
correct errors if any. This format is used for calculating the amount of concrete casted in volume (m 3),
amount of lean concrete casted and formwork which are used in area (m2) and amount of skirting and
others in length (m).
