Alankara-s Ata - Didn’t attempt tisram. Rest all

speeds were fine.

2nd speed.

Kambhoji was fine.

Varnam-s Sri - Attempted the Purvangam

completely, but there werw slight
confusions.

Navraragam – Asked to sing utharangam,

but hasn’t learned it. Didn’t sing past the
1st line of Pallavi also.

2. Supraja Madhvaraj Varisai-s - Sarali, Janta, Sang all the varisai-s properly. Was able
Dhatu to sing every speed without any
confusions.

Alankara-s Dhruva - Tisram was perfect.

Gitam-s Bhairavi and Kalyani – Very good singing.

Varnam-s Sri - Anupallavi and M.Svaram was asked.

Sung well.

Navaragam - Utharangam – Sang fine.

3. S. Nithya Vasan – Varisai-s - Sarali, Janta, Sarali was fine.

Janta didn’t come right in 3rd speed.

Dhatu varisai was okay, but confusions

here and there.

Alankara-s Rupakam – Attempted 2nd and 3rd speed

and was fine. Didn’t attempt tisram
 Gitam-s Kalyani – Tala confusions.

Kambhoji – Played the entire gitam in

plain notes.

Varnam-s Knew only the Purvangam for both

varnam-s.

Sri – Confused with the svarasthana-s,

tala was missing frequently.

Navaragam – Plain notes played, hasn’t

byhearted.

4. Nivedita Natarajan Varisai-s - Sarali, Janta, All varisai-s were sung properly in every
Dhatu speeds.

Alankara-s Mathya – Fine, tisram sang properly.

Gitam-s Malahari and Kalyani - Sang the entire

gitam, but sruti problem.

Varnam-s Sri – sang the purvangam completely, but

raga essence was missing.

Navaragam – Charanam and 1st two

svaras were asked, Y.Kambhoji didn’t
come out right.

5. Jayashri Varisai-s - Sarali, Janta, All varisai-s sung properly.

Jagannathan Dhatu

Alankara-s Rupakam – Sang all speeds in order.

Gitam-s Malahari – Fine

Bhairavi – sang completely, was okay,

struggled to get the gandharam right.

Varnam-s Sri – Sang the asked portions properly in

2 kalai, wasn’t able to attempt in 1 kalai.

Navaragam – Has byhearted, sang plain

notes.

6. Bhuvaneswari Varisai-s - Sarali, Janta, Varisai-s were sung properly.

Dhatu
 Alankara-s Sang every speed including tisram well.

Gitam-s Bhairavi and Kalyani – Byhearted, singing

was good.

Varnam-s Sri and Navaragam – Both were sung

well.

7. Yagnapriyaa Varisai-s - Sarali, Janta, Attempted all varisai-s and sang properly.
Dhatu

Alankara-s All speeds sung properly.

Gitam-s Both Bhairavi and Malahari were fine.

Varnam-s Sri – Small confusions, but sang the asked

portion completely.

Navaragam – Fine singing.

8. Sundhya Varisai-s - Sarali, Janta, Sang completely, but confusions in tala

Ramanujam Dhatu

Alankara-s Ata – could sing only 1st speed. Tisram

didn’t come right

Gitam-s Malahari – was fine.

Kambhoji – byhearted, plain notes sung

mostly.

Varnam-s Sri – Sang completely without mistakes.

Navaragam – Utharangam – doubt in 1st

svara, but sang cpmpletely.

9. Rugma Mohan Varisai-s - Sarali, Janta, All varisais were fine.

Dhatu

Alankara-s Jhampa – Has understood the conecpt of

tisram, but tala was a bit problem

Gitam-s Kambhoji and Kalyani9 – Byhearted and

sang boith gitam-s fine.

Varnam-s Sang both the varnams well.

10. Subhadra Varisai-s - Sarali, Janta, Varisais were fine.

Subramanyam Dhatu

Alankara-s All speeds were fine.

 Gitam-s Malahari and Kalyani – Byhearted and
sang botyh gitams well.

Varnam-s Sri – Very good singing

Navaraga – Fine singing.

11. Madhavi Varisai-s - Sarali, Janta, Sang the varisai-s in every speeds.
Sitaraman Dhatu

Alankara-s Dhruva – Sang in all speeds including

tisram.

Gitam-s Asked Bhairavi and Kambhoji, but didn’t

attempt those two. Attempted Malahari
and Kalyani and both were fine.

Varnam-s Sri – Speed was very high, so svara sthana

not clear.

Navaragam – Doesn’t know Purvangam.

In utharangam, Y.Kambhoji didn’t sound
like the same, 2nd svara was okay.

12. Vaishnavi Varisai-s - Sarali, Janta, Slight confusions in the speeds but sang
Sitaraman Dhatu completely.

Alankara-s Slight confusions in the speeds but sang

completely.

Gitam-s Fine singing of Kalyani and Malahari gita-s

Varnam-s Sri – Byhearted, singing was okay.

Navaraga - Byhearted, sang Mohana and

Sri svaras as asked.

13. Gadepalli Sarada Varisai-s - Sarali, Janta, Sarali and Janta varisai was sung
Dhatu perfectly. Confused with dhatu varisai,
but sang fully.

Alankara-s Triputa – All speeds were fine.

Gitam-s Asked Bhairavi, didn’t attempt.

Sang Kambhoji and Malahari fine.

Varnam-s Sri – sang the asked part completely but

 stopped few times in between.

Navaraga n- Fine singing.

14. Bharathi Vini Varisai-s - Sarali, Janta, Problems with svarasthana , Keeping on
(Flute) Dhatu travelling between Mayamalavagaula and
Shankarabharanam.

Alankara-s Rupakam – Was okay.

(Told that she only
knows varisais and Gitam-s Malahari – played completely, plain
Malahari Gitam) svaras.

15. Manukrishnan Varisai-s - Sarali, Janta, Sarali and Janta varisais were fine.
Dhatu
Dhatu – Arohana kramam was fine, while
coming down, there were confusions.

Alankara-s Jhampa – All speeds were fine.

Gitam-s Bhairavi and Kalyani – Byhearted and

good singing of both.

Varnam-s Sang asked portions of both varnams

correctly.

16. Krithika Ganeshan Varisai-s - Sarali, Janta, All varisais were fine.
Dhatu
Has tried to bring out the gamaka-s well.

Alankara-s Ata tala was asked, but couldn’t attempt.

Tried triputa and tisram was also fine.

Gitam-s Bhairavi and Kalyani – Byhearted and

done justice in singing.

Varnam-s Sang both varnams fine.

17. Kalyani Suvarchala Varisai-s - Sarali, Janta, Only done first speed.

Alankara-s Only done first speed.

Gitam-s Malahari and Kalyani – There wasn’t any

continuity or raga essence.

Varnam-s Savrasthana problems for both varnams.

18. Chandrasekaran V Varisai-s - Sarali, Janta, Had tala problem, but sang completely.

Alankara-s Ekam – Tisram didn’t come right, rest was

 okay.

Gitam-s Bhairavi – Lyrics byhearted, tala and

svarastaha problems.

Kambhoji – Sang plain notes, tala was

fine.

Varnam-s Didn’t attempt Sri.

Navaraga – Sang Purvangam , tala

problem.

19. Sathyakala Varisai-s - Sarali, Janta, All varisai-s sung without stopping.

Alankara-s Dhruvam – Tisram wasn’t right, rest

speeds were okay.

Gitam-s Only attempted Malahari, it was fine.

Varnam-s Didn’t attempt Varnams.

20. Krishnaveni Varisai-s - Sarali, Janta, Sang all varisai-s in tala and sruti.

Alankara-s Ata – Tisram attempted, fine to an extent.

Varnam-s Sri – Byhearted, slight tala confusions.

problem. Unnecessary gamakas. Has
not learnt the uttarangam properly.

avartanam, otherwise the tisra
seating was not proper.

sahitya. Attempted the Purvangam
