VIRTUES
Kindness: Treating others with empathy, compassion, and care.

- Kabaitan: Pagtrato sa iba ng may empatiya, malasakit, at


pag-aalaga.
Example: When you’re inside the elevator and see someone running
for it, simply hold the door open for them.

Friendliness: Approaching others with warmth and amiability.

- Pagiging palakaibigan: Paglapit sa iba ng may kasiglaan


at pagiging mabait
Example: Greeting new neighbors with a friendly smile and welcome.

Accountability: Taking responsibility for one's actions and


decisions.

- Pananagot: Pagtanggap ng responsibilidad para sa sariling


mga gawa at desisyon.
Example: Listen when people give you advice because they may help
you avoid future issues that could cause trouble for your career and
possibly your personal life.

Self-Control: The ability to regulate one's behavior and emotions.

- Kontrol sa Sarili: Kakayahan na pigilan ang sarili sa


paggawa ng bagay na maaaring masama.
Example: Focusing on one goal at a time.

Positivity: Maintaining a constructive and hopeful attitude.

- Positibo: Pananatiling konstruktibong pananaw at pag-asa.


Example: Encouraging others with positive affirmations.

Generosity: Willingness to give without expecting anything in


return.

- Pagiging mapagbigay: Kagustuhan magbigay ng walang


hinihinging kapalit
Example: Donating your things to charity.

Fairness: Impartiality and just treatment of others.

- Katarungan: Pagiging patas at hindi kinikilingan sa pag-


trato sa iba.
Example: Organizer treated their candidate fairly and equally.

Compassion: Demonstrating concern for the suffering of others.

- Pagkakaroon ng Malasakit: Ang pagpapakita ng pag-


aalala sa paghihirap ng iba.
Example: Buying a meal for a homeless person.

Punctuality: Being on time and respecting schedules and


commitments.
- Pagiging Maagap: Pagiging oras at paggalang sa mga oras at
mga pangako. Halimbawa: Pagsipot sa tamang oras sa mga
pulong at mga appointment.
Example: Arriving on time for meeting and any appointment.

Altruism: Selflessness and a focus on the well-being of others.

- Altruismo:Pagiging hindi makasarili at pagtuon sa


kalagayan ng iba.
Example: holding the door for strangers to giving money to people in
need.

Optimism: A positive outlook and belief in a favorable outcome.

- Optimismo: Positibong pananaw at pananampalataya na


may magandang kahihinatnan.
Example: High capacity for trust as they see the positives in others.

Sincerity: Genuine and honest intentions and expressions.

- Sinceridad: Totoong intensyon at pahayag ng damdamin.


Example Giving people compliments that reflect your true inner
feelings, performing acts of kindness without expecting anything in
return and maintaining the same personality when alone or in the
presence of others.

Purity: Integrity and moral soundness in thought and action.


- Kadalisayan: Integridad at moral na katuwiran sa kaisipan at
gawa. Halimbawa: Pamumuhay na malaya mula sa
panlilinlang, kasinungalingan, at hindi etikal na pag-uugali.
Example: Loving individuals with honor and affection.

Patience: Endurance and the ability to remain calm in the face of


adversity.

- Pasensya: Kakayahan na manatili kalmado sa kabila ng


pagsubok.
Example: Waiting calmly in a long queue.

Acceptance: Embracing others as they are, without judgment.

- Pagtanggap: Tanggapin and iba ng hindi hinuhusgahan


Example: Accepting the LGBTQ+ in our community.

Gentleness: A mild and kind disposition in interactions with others.

- Kagandahang-loob: Pagiging maginoo at may


malumanay na kilos
Example: Giving seats to PWD’s, Elder and Pregnant.

Empowerment: Encouraging and supporting others to achieve their


potential.

- Pagganap: Pagpapalakas-loob at pagsuporta sa iba upang


maabot ang kanilang potensyal.
Example: Giving motivational quotes to empower the people.

Open-mindedness: Willingness to consider different perspectives


and ideas.

- Buksan ang Isipan: Pagiging bukas sa iba't ibang


perspektibo at ideya.
Example: Engaging in a respectful discussion with someone who has
opposing views.

Graciousness: Elegance and politeness in one's conduct.

- Kagandahang-Asal: Elegante at magalang na kilos.


Example: Someone who is gracious is careful how they treat others

Modesty: Humble and unassuming behavior or attitude.

- Kahinhinan: Pagiging mapagkumbaba at hindi palalo.


Example: Picture someone who constantly boasts about their
accomplishments, thinks they know it all, and, even when they’re not
talking, exudes an off-putting smug self-satisfaction.

Tolerance: Acceptance of differences and diversity without


prejudice.

- Toleransiya: Pagtanggap ng pagkakaiba at pagiging bukas


sa diversidad.
Example: Respecting people of different cultures and beliefs.
Balance: Maintaining equilibrium and avoiding extremes in life and
decisions.

- Kabalanse: Paghahawak ng kalusugan at pag-iwas sa mga


labis na aspeto ng buhay at mga desisyon.
Example: Happy and healyh throughout their lives they need a lifestyle
that includes healthy habits.

Creativity: The ability to generate novel and imaginative ideas.

- Pagkamalikhain: Kakayahang likhain ang mga bago at


malikhaing kaisipan.
Example: Posing new questions beyond those asked by intelligent
individuals, pursuing novelty when evaluating a situation, and
generating distinct and innovative outcomes—variations on existing
ideas within a specific domain.

Flexibility: Adaptability and the ability to adjust to changing


circumstances.

- Pakikipagsanayan: Kakayahang mag-ayon at makapag-adjust


sa mga nagbabagong kalagayan. Halimbawa: Pagsanay sa
bagong kapaligiran sa trabaho o pagsasagawa ng mga bagong
teknolohiya.
Example: Remaining calm in chaotic and stressful situations is an
excellent demonstration of remarkable flexibility and adaptability.
Serenity: A state of calm and peacefulness.

- Kapayapaan: Pagiging kalmado at pagiging mapayapa


Example: The calmness and serenity of the ocean was mesmerizing

Wisdom (Karunungan) - making informed decisions based on


experience and
thoughtful consideration. Situation: Making a well-informed decision
based on experience and careful consideration of available information

Self-discipline (Sariling disiplina) - resisting the temptation


to procrastinate and staying focused on a task. Situation: Focusing on
a task without succumbing to distractions, and meeting deadlines
effectively.

Resilience (Matatag na loob) - bouncing back from failure


with a positive attitude and determination. Situation: Bouncing back
from a project setback with renewed determination to overcome
obstacles

Gratitude (Pasasalamat) - expressing thanks to someone


who has helped or supported you. Situation: Expressing sincere
thanks to a team member for their hard work and collaboration on a
project.

Loyalty (Katapatan) - standing by a friend or family member


during challenging times. Situation: Staying committed to a team's
goals and supporting colleagues even during challenging times.
Civility (Kagalang-galangan) - engaging in respectful and
courteous behavior, even in disagreement. Situation: Engaging in
respectful and polite communication, even when opinions differ.

VICES
Greed: intense and selfish desire for something, especially wealth, power,
or food.
Kasakiman: nangangahulugan ng pagkakaroon ng matindi at
makasariling pagnanais para sa yaman, kapangyarihan, pagkain, o iba
pang bagay. Ito ang pagiging maramot at suwapang ng tao.
Example: Hiding leftover food from other people while they're
starving so you can eat it later.

Anger: a strong feeling of being upset or annoyed because of something


wrong or bad.
Galit: isang malakas na pakiramdam ng pagkabalisa o inis dahil sa isang
bagay na mali o masama.
Example: motivate you to find solutions to problems. But excessive
anger can cause problems.

Lust: a strong craving for sex. It also can mean a hunger for anything, like
lust for power.
Pagnanasa: isang matinding pananabik para sa sex. Maaari rin itong
mangahulugan ng pagkagutom sa anumang bagay, tulad ng pagnanasa sa
kapangyarihan..
Example: Someone greedy lusts for money.

Envy: a feeling of discontent or covetousness with regard to another's


advantages, success, possessions, etc.
Inggit: a feeling of discontent or covetousness with regard to another's
advantages, success, possessions, etc.
Example: wanting what someone else has. .
Gluttony: the excessive desire for food causes it to be withheld from the
needy.
Katakawan: ang labis na pagnanasa sa pagkain ay nagiging dahilan
upang ito ay ipagkait sa mga nangangailangan.
Example: Eating outside of a prescribed time (Mindless Eating).

Pride: excessive belief in one's own abilities, that interferes with the
individual's recognition of the grace of God.
Pagmamataas: labis na paniniwala sa sariling kakayahan, na
nakakasagabal sa pagkilala ng indibidwal sa biyaya ng Diyos.
Example: you might have too much pride to ask for help when you
need it.

Sloth: not easily aroused to activity.


Katamaran: hindi madaling mapukaw sa aktibidad..
Example: a person not helping those in need, even though they
would be able to.

Gambling: Gambling is the wagering of something of value on a random


event with the intent of winning something else of value, where instances
of strategy are discounted. .
Pagsusugal: Ang pagsusugal ay ang pagtaya ng isang bagay na may
halaga sa isang random na kaganapan na may layuning manalo ng ibang
bagay na may halaga, kung saan ang mga pagkakataon ng diskarte ay may
diskwento..
Example: Juan bet 100 pesos in classroom, and this is prohibited by
the school.

Prostitution: Prostitution is the business or practice of engaging in sexual


activity in exchange for payment. The definition of "sexual activity" varies
and is often defined as an activity requiring physical contact with the
customer.
Prostitusyon: Ang prostitusyon ay ang negosyo o kasanayan ng
pakikipagtalik bilang kapalit ng bayad. Ang kahulugan ng "sekswal na
aktibidad" ay nag-iiba-iba, at kadalasang tinutukoy bilang isang aktibidad

Example: the practice of engaging in relatively indiscriminate
sexual activity, in general with someone who is not a spouse or
a friend.

Dishonesty: s acting without honesty. The term describes cheating,


deficient probity, lying, deliberate withholding of information, being
deliberately deceptive, or showing knavishness, perfidiousness,
corruption, treachery, or deficient integrity.

Impatience: Investigating important topics with laziness, impatience,


hubris and self-preservation.

Example: After months of delays, customers are becoming
impatient.

Jealousy: refers to the thoughts or feelings of insecurity, fear, and concern


over a relative lack of possessions or safety. Jealousy can consist of one or
more emotions such as anger, resentment, inadequacy, helplessness or
disgust.
Selos: ay tumutukoy sa mga iniisip o damdamin ng kawalan ng
kapanatagan, takot, at pag-aalala sa isang kamag-anak na kakulangan ng
pag-aari o kaligtasan. Ang paninibugho ay maaaring binubuo ng isa o higit
pang mga emosyon tulad ng galit, sama ng loob, kakulangan, kawalan ng
kakayahan o pagkasuklam.
Example: Insulting or guilt-tripping a friend because they spent
time with someone you don't like.

Cruelty: is the pleasure in inflicting suffering or the inaction towards


another's suffering when a clear remedy is readily available.
Kalupitan: ay ang kasiyahan sa pagdudulot ng pagdurusa o ang hindi
pagkilos sa pagdurusa ng iba kapag ang isang malinaw na lunas ay
madaling magagamit.
Example: Keeping a dog tied up outside all day and all night is
animal cruelty.

Avarice: an unreasonably strong desire to obtain and keep money.

Example: He paid a month's rent in advance, just enough to satisfy
the landlord's avarice

Bias: an unfair preference for or dislike of something.

Example: a person may like one shirt more than two others when
given a choice because the shirt they picked is also their favorite
color.
Malice: the intention or desire to cause harm or pain to somebody; or to
wish for someone to feel pain.

Example: She is entirely without malice.

Manipulative: a person uses controlling and harmful behaviors to avoid


responsibility, conceal their true intentions, or cause doubt and confusion.

Addictions: a neuropsychological disorder characterized by a persistent


and intense urge to use a drug or engage in a behaviour that produces
natural reward, despite substantial harm and other negative consequences.

Example: He has a drug addiction.

Corruption: a form of dishonesty or a criminal offense which is


undertaken by a person or an organization which is entrusted in a position
of authority, in order to acquire illicit benefits or abuse power for one's
personal gain
Kurapsyonn: isang anyo ng hindi tapat o isang kriminal na pagkakasala

Dementedness - completely unreasonable or lacking any sense of the


consequences of actions taken; affected by the loss of intellectual
functions.

Cowardice: an absence of courage.

Craziness: not showing good sense or practicality; one affected by a


psychiatric disorder.

Example: His craziness about her is based solely on her beauty.

Bragging: to talk with excessive pride about an achievement or


possession.

Example: She's always bragging about how much money she earns.
Alcoholism: dependence on alcohol consumption to an extent that
adversely affects social and work-related functioning and produces
withdrawal symptoms when intake is stopped or greatly reduced.

Antagonism - hostility or hatred causing opposition and ill will.
Antagonismo - poot o poot na nagdudulot ng oposisyon at masamang

Example: an active hostility or opposition, as between unfriendly or
conflicting groups.
Cheating - to deceive or mislead somebody, especially for personal
advantage.
Pandaraya - upang linlangin o linlangin ang isang tao, lalo na para sa
personal na kalamangan.
Example: she was cheating in the exams.

Conceit (Pagmamataas) - An inflated sense of one's own


importance, marked by arrogance and an overestimation of personal
abilities. Situation: Brian's conceit becomes evident as he dismisses
valuable input from team members during a project meeting. His
arrogant belief in his own ideas hinders collaboration, leading to a
project overhaul that neglects the diverse perspectives and expertise
within the team.

Procrastination (Pagpapabaya) - The habit of delaying tasks


or actions, often leading to negative consequences. Situation: Despite
looming deadlines, an individual consistently puts off essential tasks,
risking project failure.

Arrogance (Kayabangan) - Exaggerated self-importance,


pride, or superiority over others. Situation: A team leader refuses to
consider suggestions from team members due to arrogance.

Vanity (Kababuyan) - Excessive concern with one's


appearance or achievements, often accompanied by arrogance.
Situation: An individual spends excessive time and money on
appearance, neglecting more important aspects of life.

Hypocrisy (Pagkukunwari) - Pretending to have qualities or


beliefs that one does not truly possess. Situation: A person preaches
honesty but engages in deceptive practices in their personal and
professional life.
