1. Find the value of ‘a’, if 2 x 2+ a y 2−3 x+2 y−1=0 represents a circle and also find its radius.
2. Find the value of ‘k’ if the points (4,2) and (k, -3) are conjugate points with respect to the
circle x 2+ y 2−5 x+ 8 y+ 6=0 .
3. Find the angle between the circles x 2+ y 2−12 x −6 y +41=0, x 2+ y 2+ 4 x +6 y−59=0.
4. Find the position [interior (or) exterior (or) on] of the point P (6, -6) with respect to the
parabola y 2=6 x .
5. Find the equation of the hyperbola whose foci are (±5,0) and the transverse axis is of length 8.

11. Find the equation of the circle with Centre (-2,3) cutting a chord length 2 units on

20. Show that the equation of common tangent to the circle x 2+ y 2=2 a2 and the parabola y 2=8 x
are y=±(x+ 2a).
