NBCAI CABIN Your room on a cruise ship is
called a cabin (or stateroom)
and is similar to a hotel room,
but typically much smaller.

these suites have living rooms
and bedrooms separated by a
solid partition like a door.
KCDE DECK Decks are the main horizontal
parts of a ship's structure. The
crew stand and walk on
the deck. A deck is the floor of
a boat or ship.
ESRCUI CRUISE TERMINAL A passenger terminal is a
MNIALTRE structure in a port which
services passengers boarding
and leaving water vessels such
as ferries, cruise ships and
ocean liners.
TORP PORT A port is a maritime facility
which may comprise one or
more wharves where ships may
dock to load and discharge
passengers and cargo. It is
usually situated on a seacoast
or estuary

Activity 2.1

Mrs Jones had to embark the ship at a Port. She choose a higher deck Cabin that
had an ocean view. This room was especially large and looked like an apartment.
It is commonly known as a Suite. Some of the features of this room include a
separate dining area. Included in the cruise was the use of all the Facilities and
services on board. She especially enjoyed a day at the Pool even though she
got sunburned. To ease her sunburn, she utilised the service of the Spa to ease
some of her discomfort. Later, when she was invited to the Captains dinner she
showed off her new hairstyle that she decided on while at the Beauty Salon ..
The dinner made her evening and the cherry on top was winning $800 at the
Casino which she spent at the Gift Shop……… on board. After a wonderful
holiday aboard on a cruise liner, Mrs Jones had to disembark with more “baggage
than expected”.
