Introduction
Hotels are sending data files to TSA through emails. Opera System provides an alternative option,
SFTP, to send out data files through secured transport methodology. The min official Opera version
that supports SFTP is from 5.3.1 (formerly 5.0.03.01).
This document serves as user guide on SFTP configuration for the hotels.
Benefits of SFTP
Boosts speed and efficiency of business processes. SFTP servers can easily support large file transfers
as well as bulk file transfers, i.e., transferring multiple files in one go. Because of this, it saves time
and, in this regard, is much better than other file transfer/sharing methods like email or cloud-based
solutions.
Brings down risks during data exchanges. SFTP already comes with several security mechanisms like:
Encryption, public key authentication, data integrity and authenticity checks and host authentication.
Powers data accessibility. SFTP servers can provide secure file transfer services to both client
applications and other SFTP servers alike. In other words, they can satisfy user-to-server and server-
to-server use cases. By making data easily accessible, you can foster collaboration and increase
productivity in your organization.
TSA receives data files through SFTP without any human intervention. for example: files are
not sent to our reports mail box for processing.
Reports are sent to hotels within 1 hour of receiving data files.
1.1 Firewall
1. Hotels to open outgoing firewall security system for TSA SFTP Host/URL if necessary. This
means hotel’s network is only opened for outgoing messages to TSA and TSA will not be able
to write or send across anything through hotel’s network.
